Size varies, 9X15 cm to 12.5X17.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains and minor blemishes to card mounts, mainly to margins and corners.

A printed greeting card with greetings for the Hebrew year 5705 (1944/1945). [Presumably Italy, 1944].
Printed on the card are a Star of David, the emblem of the 6th South African Armoured Division – a green triangle with a yellow triangle in it – and a greeting for the New Year: "With best wishes for a Speedy Victory, Peace and Happy New Year".
This armored division, together with South African engineering units, fought with the British Army in the battles in Italy during World War II.
Handwritten greeting for the new year (in pencil) appear on both sides of the card.
7X10.5 cm. Very good condition.

A poster issued for the elections to the eighth conference of the Histadrut (General Organization of Workers in Israel), which were held on May 8, 1955. The poster shows an extended hand holding a membership card of the Histadrut, alongside houses, fields, agricultural product and industrial structures representing the wide scope of pursuits of the workers unionized by the Histadrut.

All 12 issues of the journal "Altneuland" ("Old-New Land", after Theodor Herzl's book) from 1906. The journal, organ of The Commission for the Exploration of Palestine, which was established by the decision of the sixth Zionist congress, featured articles and results of studies and surveys held in Palestine.
The issues in this volume include articles about settlements in Palestine, the Malaria in Jerusalem, and more. Issue 10-11 (October-November 1906) features a long article about the Bezalel Art Academy that was established that year, accompanied by photographs of its teachers and students.
An illustration by E.M. Lilien – two muscular men carrying a bunch of grapes – is printed on the front cover of all issues.

1. A letter handwritten and signed by Boris Schatz, on an early, official stationery of Bezalel. Jerusalem, June 1907.
The letter is addressed to an artist-friend of Schatz in Bulgaria. Schatz writes to him that in about a month, he will come to Bulgaria to "enlist members to the Bezalel Association" and asks for his help. In addition, Schatz writes that he intends to convene a meeting to establish "the purpose of Bezalel" and complains that he is missing "a painter" – "If some painter asks you about Bezalel, tell him to wait for my arrival" (Hebrew).
[1] leaf, 27 cm. Fair condition. Several pieces are missing in the edges. The letter has been restored, which caused ink-smudging.
2. A photograph of Bezalel students at a Purim ball. [Photographer: Yaakov Ben Dov, 1929 or earlier].
A sharp, high-quality photograph depicting students wearing costumes, at the yard of Bezalel, by Glicenstein's sculpture "Messiah". A similar photograph, depicting the same group of students in identical costumes, was printed on a postcard issued by the Israel Museum and there it is attributed to the photographer Ben Dov.

Exhibition catalogue of Bezalel artifacts. The exhibition was held in New York when Boris Schatz resided there. Schatz arrived in New York on January 1926 in order to arrange this exhibition and raise money for Bezalel which, at the time, went through a financial crisis. After a year and a half, in May 1927, Schatz returned to Palestine with very limited financial means. That year the Bezalel school was closed down. The school re-opened in 1928 but in 1929 was closed again.
The catalog includes many photographs of Bezalel artifacts and articles about Bezalel. Front cover designed by Reuven Lif (signed in the plate: "R. Lifshitz")

A textbook for studying the Hebrew alphabet with poems by Levin Kipnis and illustrations in vivid colors and in gold by Ze'ev Raban, one of the first teachers at Bezalel. The book, which was printed in Berlin for Jewish children in Europe, features images identified with the land of Israel and Zionist messages of immigration to Palestine. Its impressive illustrations and meticulous printing made it a milestone in Hebrew literature for children.
