Manuscript, Chassidic articles by Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson author of Tzemach Tzedek. Sefer HaChakira Derech Emuna, article of "Root of the Mitzvah of Prayer" from the book Derech Mitzvotecha, and other Chassidic articles. Ashkenasi writing [19th century].
Sefer HaChakira, was first printed in Poltova in 1912, by Rabbi Chaim Eliezer Bichovsky, who called the book Derech Emuna. This book deals with proofs for belief in the Creator and renewal of the world, according to Chassidut and philosophy. Rebbe Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch writes in his introduction to the 1955 edition: according to that which Lubavitcher rebbes have told us, Sefer HaChakira was written by the Rebbe the Tzemach Tzedek after his journey to Petersburg in 1843, and is about the religious debates, teachings, kabbalah and Chassidism which took place there. "But in his usual way he added after that, in any case, this writing was necessary and a temporary response to questions that came from a special circle of people and according to his outlook and opinions".
This manuscript is different than the printed edition, both in numbers and order of chapters, [for example, Vol. 2 of the manuscript is Volume 3 in printed form and Volume 3 of the manuscript is Volume 2 in the printed edition] and many other variations.
At the end of this pamphlet ("bichel"), is the article Sha'ar HaTefilla – B'Shoresh MItzvat HaTefillah which is also printed in the book Derech Mitzvotecha by the author of Tzemach Tzedek and the articles: Shuva Yisrael, B'Succot Teshvu and U'Lekachtem Lachem and other Chassidic articles.
197 written leaves. 19 cm. Good condition. Stains. Semi-leather binding, ancient, impressed on the spine is the inscription "The holy writings of the Rebbe".
