Letter from Rabbi Amram Ben Yehuda Blau, to Rabbi Moshe Ber Shehn Rabbi and teacher in Vienna. Jerusalem, 1874.
He tells in this letter that he received his letter by Rabbi David Spitzer [See Kedem Catalogue number 6, item 349; dedication written by Rabbi Moshe Ber Shehn for Rabbi David Spitzer when he moved from Vienna to Eretz Yisrael in 1873].
Rabbi Amram Blau of Pressburg (1829-1899), disciple of the "K'tav Sofer". Served as Rabbi in Slovakia and Hungary (Castalan, Torna and more). In 1869 he moved to Eretz Yisrael and was recognized as one of the outstanding and honorable persons in the holy city. (See enclosed material). His grandchildren are the famous brothers, Rabbi Moshe Blau leader of "Agudat Yisrael" and Rabbi Amram Blau leader of "Neturei Karta".
