Silver (stamped), engraved and strongly hammered, partially gold-plated.
On top, large embossed crown with bell. At center, tablets of the Ten Commandments (smooth) supported by two lions. 4 alternating silver plaques (signed), engraved on both sides: "Yom Kippur", "Shabbat Rosh HaChodesh"; "Pesach", "Shavuot"; "Rosh HaShana", "Sukkot"; "Shabbat", "Shmini Atzeret"; and seven additional silver plaques, not engraved, in various sizes. Original chain for hanging, made of silver.
Height: 36 cm, width: 29 cm. Good condition.

Silver (unstamped), hammered.
At center of shield are Tablets of Law (with letters of the Hebrew alphabet), flanked by the figures of Moshe and Aharon in Oriental style (Persian?). Aharon is holding an Oriental stringed instrument. On both sides are upright poles topped by vases, leaf ornamentation. On bottom is a rectangular frame on which is written: "Succot" (unlike other shields, the inscription is permanent and not changeable).

Small heart-shaped shield, on its upper part is a Star of David with the word "Zion" and floral ornamentation. Prominent dedication of a few lines: "Holy to G-d, gift from Chana Shvili in memory of her husband Ben Zion Shvili". A short chain with a bell hangs from the shield, at its top is a chain for hanging.

Small shield, designed like two Tablets of Law, with the inscription "The Ten Commandments", at the top is a Torah crown decorated with floral patterns. At the bottom of the shield is a dedication: "Kodesh L'Hashem from Shabtai Sheva in memory of the deceased Eliyahu Sheva who died on 13th of Nissan 1946". On reverse side: "Simcha Hadar Kodesh community".
The "Simcha Hadar Kodesh" community for Salonika immigrants was founded by Avraham Shmuel Recanati, a noted Jew from Salonika (before the Holocaust, served as president of Mizrachi and head of the Revisionist Movement in Greece and Deputy Mayor of Salonika). The community Beit Knesset resided in several places in Tel Aviv until the artistic structure for the Beit Knesset was built in the 1970s. This structure became famous for its original design and amongst other names was called "The Shell" for its unique design. The name of the Beit Knesset is "Heichal Yehuda" called after Yehuda Leon Recanati (see attached material).
