Election poster issued by the Mapai party for the 19th Zionist Congress. Tel Aviv: Ahdut press, [1935]. Drawing: Esther Lurie, after Moshe Raviv-Vorobeichic (Moi Ver). Yiddish.
The poster depicts a brick bridge, topped with Zionist Shekels, leading from the sea to Palestine, and two large figures – a farme and a worker.
Approx. 62X94.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Fold lines and creases. Tears and perforations, most of them professionaly restored, with color touchups. Linen-backed for display and preservation. Strips of tape to edges of linen; inscription on verso.

A medal awarded to the builders of the Hejaz Railway. The Ottoman Empire, 1900.
Obverse: a train, the Tughra of Abdul Hamid II and the Hijri year 1318 (1900).
The laying of the Hejaz railway began in 1900 at the behest of the Sultan Abdul Hamid II. The railway was inaugurated in 1908. It ran from Damascus in Syria to El-Medina in Hejaz; a branch line from Haifa to the Syrian town of Dara'a went through Palestine.
Diameter: 30 mm. Pierced for hanging.
