Early patriotic journal, including essays on the Jewish question and on settlement in Palestine, Zionism and information about the Land of Israel. Every issue is in an original blue paper jacket.

Typewritten of stationery of "Hilfkommission 1915 u. Oestereichisches Landeskomitee für Palästina" [1915 Help Committee and the National Austrian Committee for Israel]. Brecher, who was probably a secretary or treasurer of the committee, details the transmission of sums from Austria to needy Jews in Israel. Charity money deposited in the Rothchild Bank in Vienna are also mentioned.

Youth movement "Blau-Weiss" was founded in Germany in 1912 for sons and daughters of assimilated families, who were rejected by the national German youth movements who refused to accept young Jews. In 1922 the movement adopted the Zionist concept and encouraged its members to be trained in agricultural and professional work in order to be prepared for Aliyah to Eretz Yisrael.
