The Hebrew Republic, Petrus Cunaeus (Peter van der Cun). The writer, a Dutch Christian jurist, found in the ancient Hebrew republic a society based on the good attribute and maintains social equality. The writer used extensively the "Mishne Torah" by the Rambam, the Talmud and the writings of Josephus Flavius.
Latin with few citations in Hebrew. An engraving of Moses and Aharon on the cover.

On the title-page there is an embossing of a vine surrounded by a round fence, a wreath, sun, clouds, and the Holy Name appears in Hebrew in the center.

Book dealing with enactments issued against Jews (regarding loans, wills, inheritances, marriage and more) in Italy of the early 18th century.
The book's author, Joseph Sessa, was a judge who dealt with Jewish matters in Piedmont. In this project he deals with many laws which were enacted against the Jews in order to discriminate them from the non-Jews, to mark them as despised objects, to prevent all compassion towards them and to force them to live in a separate quarter. Latin and Italian.
