Arthur Szyk, original miniature painting of the series Arabian Nights. Gouash on cardboard, the1940's.
"Arabian Nights" painting were made by Szyk in the nineteen forties when he was committed to The Limited Editions Club to paint 100 paintings of this series, but painted only 60 until his death in 1951.
The painting was published in the second volume of Arabian Nights Entertainments, Ipswich, England, The Limited Editions Club, 1954.
14.3 X 10.7 cm, on cardboard board 22.9 X 18.5 cm, in a fine frame 25 X 20.5 cm. Very good condition. Date and signature by artist on right corner, faded signature, recognizable.

Colorful drawing of Chaim Weizmann inside a colorful frame, drawn by hand. On cloth which is printed on a block in its frame, with Persian elements and Persian writing.
Above Weizmann's image, there is a Star of David with the letters chet, aleph, bet, resh, hei, samech, bet.
There is a similar item in existence with the image of Herbert Samuel, which was displayed in and exhibit in the Ein Harod Museum of Art, and in the Judaica exhibit in ICC.

Seva (1897-1975), Israeli artist, scenery designer and sculpture. Acquired his artistic training in Koenigsberg and Berlin. Made aliya in 1936. His crafts were displayed in the Tel Aviv Art Museum.
Collection includes:
About 30 postcards and invitations to exhibits, over 50 letters by Seva, two photographs of the Achva creation, a German letter from Seva on the back of one of the pictures; handwritten 15-page letter, draft for letter with deals extensively with doubts and criticism concerning artwork in Israel, plus two printed and edited copies of the essay, together with "Dear Seva died two days ago…"; a twenty-page letter in German and a 4-page essay in German, pencil notes on the back of the essay; 19 photos of Seva, including picture of his gravesite; pencil inscription on pargament paper, signed; wooden cube with an engraving – image of Shlomo Hamelech; three printed advertisements for Seva's displays.
