Typewritten, with the handwritten signatures of the rabbis. The rabbis institute a regulation that no one should leave Bnei Brak for Jerusalem later than two hours before candle lighting time.

Four letters from R. Dov Berish Weidenfeld, the Tchebiner Rav. Jerusalem, 1950, 1954, 1963 and 1964.
The letters are addressed to R. Yaakov Landau, Rabbi of Bnei Brak. The first three letters are entirely handwritten by the Tchebiner Rav, with his signature. The fourth letter is typewritten, with his handwritten signature.
Enclosed: Two letters from the son-in-law of the Tchebiner Rav, R. Baruch Shimon Schneersohn, addressed to R. Landau, relaying messages from his father-in-law.
R. Dov Berish Weidenfeld (1881-1965), known as the Tchebiner Rav, leading Torah scholar and halachic authority in his times in Galicia, and later in Jerusalem, where he founded the Kochav MiYaakov - Tchebin yeshiva.

One of the letters is from the heads of the Chabad chassidut in Eretz Israel, signed by R. Shlomo Yosef Zevin, R. Avraham Chaim Naeh and R. Azriel Zelig Slonim, inviting R. Landau to a meeting following the passing of Rebbe Rayatz. Jerusalem, 4th Adar 1950.
