Two books on the Kabbalistic teachings of the Gaon of Vilna, by R. Yosef Avivi, published by Yeshayahu Vinograd. Bibliophile editions.
1. Kabbalat HaGra – Two parts: Gilui Eliyahu, introduction to the Kabbalah of the Gaon of Vilna – "Compiled from compositions which were printed earlier"; and Asara Klalim – "Ten Principles by the Gaon of Vilna, based on a recently discovered manuscript", by R. Yosef Avivi. Jerusalem, [1993]. Published by the Kerem Eliyahu Institute (institute for the publication of the works of the Gaon of Vilna). The first book of a series of books on the Gaon of Vilna, edited by Yeshayahu Vinograd. Unnumbered copy, from an edition of fifty copies printed on blue paper.
Asara Klalim by the Gaon of Vilna was printed for the first time in this book, based on a manuscript from the Vinograd collection – see item 61. This manuscript was discovered in a Genizah in Jerusalem, was identified and transcribed by R. Yosef Avivi, and published by Yeshayahu Vinograd.

Maalot HaTorah, praise and virtue of Torah and those who study it, by R. Avraham, brother of the Gaon of Vilna, with teachings from the Gaon of Vilna. [Russia-Poland, 1828]. First edition.
The book describes the virtue of studying Torah and of those who study it, based on numerous sayings of the sages found in the Talmud, midrash and Zohar, alongside teachings heard by the author from his brother the Gaon of Vilna.
The grandson of the author, in his preface, notes that the author instructed his family to complete the study of this book at least once a month. Over the years, this book was reprinted in many editions (see next item). In 1880, the book was printed in Jerusalem with the Or Torah commentary by R. Yitzchak Eizik Chaver, disciple of R. Menachem Mendel of Shklow.
[2], 19, [1] leaves. 17.5 cm. High-quality paper. Good condition. A few stains. Minor tears and damage. Minor marginal worming to several leaves. Inner margins reinforced with paper. New binding.

According to A. Ben Yaakov, the book was printed in Kopust. The chronogram on the title page indicates the year 1822, yet the correct year of printing is actually 1828, as indicated by the chronogram at the end of the approbation.

A leaf was bound between the two books, with handwritten copyings from the foreword of R. Chaim of Volozhin to the book Sifra DeTzniuta with the commentary of the Gaon of Vilna.
Ownership inscriptions, signatures and stamps of R. Simcha HaLevi Soloveitchik of London and Jerusalem, descendant of the author, on the title page and leaves of the book Nefesh HaChaim: "Belongs to me, Simcha son of R. Eli. Tzvi HaLevi Soloveitchik, descendant of the author", "Belongs to my father R. Simcha HaLevi Soloveitchik of London". His stamps show an image of the Western Wall with the caption "Jerusalem" (R. Simcha was the great-grandson of the author, R. Chaim of Volozhin. His father, R. Eliyahu Tzvi, was the son of the daughter of R. Chaim and the brother of R. Yitzchak Ze'ev HaLevi Soloveitchik of Kovno, father of the Beit HaLevi). Another signature on the title page: "Yudel son of M[?] of Salant".
