Wooden statue – Moses leaning on his cane. Signed: M. Farbman, Vienna.
The sculptor Max Farbman (1886-1950) was born in Lithuania, learned and practiced sculpturing in Vienna until he came to Eretz Israel in 1933. His works are exhibited in several art museums in Vienna. Some of his creations, as well as the contents of his studio, disappeared during the holocaust.
Height: 48 cm, maximum width: 15 cm. Good condition. Crack going down most of the length of the statue's center. Base is damaged.
