19 original drawings by Siegmund Frost for The Book of Hanukka, published in New York in 1958. Water-colors on paper mounted on cardboard, 1956-1957, signed by pen.
Depict various scenes from the Chanuka story: a wedding, a boy refusing to bow; Elazar stabbing Antiochus's elephant, Matityahu, the Holy Ark and Menorah, Cohanim with lulavs in Beit HaMikdash, bringing Bikkurim (first fruits), Maccabites, Antiochus, the Cohen Gadol lighting the Menorah, weapons and more.
Enclosed is the book (in fair condition) with handwritten notes relating to the original drawings.

One shows a Jew wrapped in a talit with his eyes closed and he is floating among the clouds, with a drawing of a Magen David; another shows a man with boxing gloves, with a brimmed hat and cigar, burning a $10,000 note; and a third shows a man smoking a cigar with the caption “half Yiddish” in Hebrew. One of the sketches has a caption in French, another in Latin.
16.5x25 cm in a frame of 26.5x35.5 cm. Good condition. One of the frame backs is missing.

A dozen illustrations of Eretz Israel views in accordance with verses from the Tanach, by the painter and nature-lover, Aharon HaLevi.
HaLevi made Aliya from Russia in 1906, worked in sowing, gardening and cultivation of plant species, one of the first painters of the vegetation of Eretz Israel and its views.
[2], 12 leaves, [1] leaf. Appears in the Bib. Inst. CD with another [1] folded leaf, 39 cm. Thick quality paper. Good condition. Foxing on the margins of the leaves. Uncut sheets of paper. Small tear on the margin of the printed cardboard wrapping.

Round plate,with image of Theodore Herzl in the middle, and above it "If you will" and "It is no dream" on separate platelets. Under the image of Herzl there is a platelet with an engraved signature "Bezalel".
Various foliage and geometrical decorations; on the edges there are 6 round platelets with Magen Davids.
Width: 27.5 cm. Good condition. Scratches and wear on some of the decorations. Corrosion and remnants of a hook on the back side.
