Includes the text of the special prayers for the Shovavim period (weeks of the first six Torah portions of Shemot), as established by the kabbalist R. Moshe Zacuto (the Remez). It begins with a special piyyut which is "fitting for the Shovavim days", composed by R. Moshe Zacuto.
[18] leaves (35 written pages). 13.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and wear, dark dampstains. Light worming. Original cardboard cover, damaged.

Manuscript, Yotzerot piyyutim for the festivals, according to the rite of Italian communities. [Italy, ca. 19th century].
Square vocalized script on thick, high-quality paper. The manuscript contains Yotzerot piyyutim for the entire year: Shabbat Rosh Chodesh, Shabbat Chanukah, the four parashiot, Shabbat HaGadol, first, second, seventh and eighth days of Pesach, the Shabbat preceding the Festival of Shavuot, first and second days of Shavuot, Shabbat Nachamu, the Shabbat before Rosh Hashanah, Shabbat Teshuva, the Shabbat preceding Sukkot and the first day of the festival. At the end of the manuscript: Reshut recited before the Nishmat prayer on Sukkot and Reshut recited before the Nishmat prayer on Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

Bound with: Tikkun Bakashot Anshei Maamad, additions to Ayelet HaShachar - supplications to be recited after Maamadot, by R. Efraim of Fano (brought to print by R. Moshe Yoffe). Mantua: Judah Samuel of Perugia and sons, 1621.
The title page of Tikkun Bakashot Anshei Maamad states that these supplications were printed "To complete and be attached to the end of the Shomrim LaBoker siddur", as was done in this copy (regarding this copy, see: Simonsohn, Toldot HaYehudim BeDukasut Mantova, II, Jerusalem 1965, p. 403, note 145).

3. Ayelet HaShachar, Psalms, prayers and supplications recited by the members of the Shomrim LaBoker society in Mantua. Mantua: Refael Chaim d'Italia, [1724]. Second edition, with additions. Signature on the title page: "Yisrael Elisha HaLevi". This copy contains glosses and additions in Italian script, on the front endpapers and in the book, documenting the customs of the society (for instance: "In 1784, the first day of Rosh Hashana fell on Shabbat, and they began reciting the supplications on Monday morning of that week…", "That year, Tzidkatecha was recited in the synagogue during Mincha of Shabbat"). On p. 171b, at the top of the prayer instituted for "plentiful rainfall", documentation of the years it was recited: "Recited here in Mantua from today, Sunday, 7th Kislev 1788", "Recited 28th Cheshvan 1792".
This copy is a variant comprising all 186 leaves (leaves 177-185 contain prayers recited in Ferrara. Leaf 186 is an errata leaf. Compare: Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, listing 000182665).
