Rabbi Avraham Lanido was among the rabbis of Aleppo. He made aliya to Jerusalem in his old age, and was one of the special Beit El kabalists. He died in Jerusalem in 1882. (Gellis, Encyclopedia of Eretz Israel's Rabbis, Page 106).

The proclamation contains a ban, made by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev, Rabbi Akiva Eiger and more, against using money from the Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNess Charity Fund for purposes other than their original purpose – supporting the settlers of the Holy Land. The bottom contains Rabbi Shmuel Salant's agreement to the ban, and there he adds that Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin also expressed his support of the ban two weeks before his passing.

The "Shomer Mitzva U-Malbish Arumim Society" was a charity organization which saw to various needs of the poor in Jerusalem: checking mezuzot, distribution of tzitzis and clothing to orphans, distributions of water filters, which were then a crucial item, and more. (See S. HaLevi no. 683).
14x22.5 cm. Gold print with illuminated frame, on checkered paper. Blank; never used. Very good condition. Pasted and re-enforced with professional tape; preserved in paper cover.

Regulations of the Zichron Moshe Company for building houses in Jerusalem. Established in the year 1904 by the committee for "Remembering Sir Moses Montefiore" in London…with the efforts of his representative Mr. David Yelin, Jerusalem, 1907.
On page 13 are the signature of the head of the committee and buyers: Rabbi Yechiel Michl Pins, Yeshayahu Press, David Yelin and others. At the end there is written contract, calculations and receipts with different signatures.
The neighborhood of Zichron Moshe in Jerusalem was established by the people of enlightenment. Through the years it has turned to a center for the Charedi Community, Yeshivot and Batei Midrsh. All that remains as a reminder of those who established the community are the street names.
