Illustration of a pioneer sowing, with crows on his right side. On three crows appear the ballot letters of the parties "Maki", "Hatzionim HaKlaliyim" and "Herut". On the bottom appears the inscription "And the crows call: Rak Ra, Rak Ra" (Hebrew).
47.5X66 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and small tears. Inscription on upper right corner. The entire poster is mound on thin, acid-free, paper.

Illustration of a laborer driving a tractor while carrying a weapon and ammunition. Printed above the illustration is the Hebrew inscription "One hand works while the other holds a dagger" (Nehemiah 4:11). Printed beneath it is the inscription "To Work = To Struggle", next to the Hebrew letter tav (the party's ballot letter).
68X49 cm. Good condition. Creases and some stains. Some small tears to margins. Linen-backed for display and preservation.

1. "Aliya, Security, Bread and Peace." Election poster for the United Workers Party (Mapam). No printer or year indicated, [1951].
Approx. 70X50 cm. Good condition. Stains and creases. Open tears, restored with paper, most along the top margin; two along the left margin, with slight damage to the image (color corrections).
2. "Friendly Greetings from the Youth of Israel to the Youth of the World." Poster on behalf of the "Israel Youth and Students Committee," printed for the fourth World Youth Festival in Bucharest, Romania in August 1953. No printer indicated.
Black-and-white illustration reflecting the ideology of HaShomer HaTza'ir - a Jewish youth and an Arab youth standing next to each other, with a field and villages in the background, and a dove flying above.

"Welcome to Israel = Keren HaYesod - United Israel Campaign", promotional poster for "Keren HaYesod". Levine-Epstein Press, Tel Aviv, [1952]. Design: Jan Lewitt and George Him.
Color illustration depicting a desert landscape with two tractors plowing the soil from north to south, with furrows between them in the shape of a Star of David.
The artists Jan Lewitt (1907-1991) and George Him (1900-1981), both born in Poland, founded a joint studio for graphic design in Warsaw in 1933. In 1937 they immigrated to London; there they were mainly involved in advertising (they designed, among others, posters and announcements for the British Ministry of Information) as well as in writing and illustrating children's books. Both were involved in projects related to Israel. Jan Lewitt designed the Hebrew typeface "Haim". George Him designed, among other projects, the "Masada Exhibition" and served as a design consultant to "El-Al" company. In 1954 the partnership was dissolved.
