Stamped with the stamp of the atelier "Ze'ev Raban, Workshop for Industrial Art (formerly Gur-Arie and Raban), Bezalel, Jerusalem" [Hebrew]. Leaf: 21X17 cm, in frame: 39.5X35.5 cm. Creases. 2. Sketch for an illustration. On the right are three figures praying - a Jew, a Muslim and a Christian. Underneath them is a penciled Hebrew inscription reading: "The Muslim is on the right. The Christian is on the left…". On the left are the same figures in different postures. Unsigned. Leaf: 13.5X22.5 cm, in frame: 31.5X41 cm. Creases and some stains. Small tears to margins. Printed certificate (with details filled in handwriting), granted to Ms. Lydia Sorani from Italy upon receiving a gold medal "for embroidery" at the "Levant Fair" in Tel Aviv. "Grafika" offset press, Jerusalem, 1934. Hebrew, English and Arabic. [Design: Ze'ev Raban].
Fine illustrated certificate. On the right is a laborer hitting an anvil with a hammer, on the left is a woman carrying a basket on her head alongside a gazelle. In the center is the flying camel emblem. The certificate is signed by the president of the competition's judges committee, and stamped with the "Levant Fair" stamp.
42.5X65.5 cm. Thick paper. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Slight defects to margins. Some stains.

Advertisement for "Ruth" cigarettes, designed by Ze'ev Raban, with an exquisite illustration of Ruth the Moabite in Boaz's field. The advertisement was printed partly in gold ink.
Approx. 35X24.5 cm. Good condition. Horizontal folding line and creases. Tear to folding line and small tears to margins (two pieces of adhesive tape on reverse, on top margins).

A matzah cover, printed on a background pattern designed as a square matzah. A printed Hebrew inscription on the right reads: "Ko Amar Koresh Balfour…" ["Thus said Cyrus Balfour…"], continued on the bottom "Ashrei Ayin Ra'ata Kol Ele" ["Joyful is the Eye that Saw all This", based on the verse quoting the proclamation of Cyrus in the Book of Ezra, chapter 1].
The main ornamentation is a circle. On its margins a printed Hebrew inscription reads: "Ma Nishtana… LeShana Haba'ah BeYerushalayim Habenuya" ["What has changed?... next year in Jerusalem rebuilt", quote from the Passover Haggadah]. Within it are six medallions with depictions of various locations in Palestine, titled in Hebrew: Western Wall, Hebrew University, Dead Sea, Port of Haifa, "Matzah Factory in Eretz Israel". Next to the illustration of the matzah factory is a Hebrew inscription reading: "VeKol HaMarbeh…Harei ze Meshubach" ["And all who consume produce of Eretz Israel, may they be praised"]. In the center is a figure of a pioneer with a camel. On the bottom are four silhouettes of pioneers dancing next to tents (after Gur-Arie) with the Hebrew inscription: "Im Lo Achshav Eimatai!!!" [If not Now, When?!!!].

3-6. Four prints on black velvet: portrait of Ze'ev Jabotinsky, with the Hebrew inscription "In the Beginning was - the Nation"; portrait of Yosef Trumpeldor, with the Hebrew inscription, "Never Mind! It is Good to Die for Our Country" [according to legend, his last words]; portrait of Theodor Herzl with the Hebrew inscription, "If you Will it - It is no Dream"; Portrait of Haim Arlozorov (without inscription).

The catalogue of the exhibition "Schatz's Bezalel" (1982) notes that most of the fabric works were made in the workshop of Michael Filmus (1892-1965), who worked at Bezalel in 1911-1916, founded the "Tamar" workshop for batik (etching) on metal, and engaged in printing on fabric.
Size varies, approx. 17X29 cm to 40X50 cm. Each print is framed. Unexamined out of frame.
