Passover Seder plate. Carlsbad, Czechoslovakia, 1919.
Porcelain (pearl glazing); text and decoration in gold.
Rim decorated with vegetal and geometric patterns, in gold. The fifteen "Simanim" of the Seder are inscribed in golden ink, and in the center of the plate appear the inscription "Next Year in Jerusalem" (Hebrew; the word "Jerusalem" is in the center of a Star of David), the location and year.
Diameter: 33.5 cm. Good condition. Inscription and golden decorations are worn.

A large Passover Seder plate. [Morocco-Israel, mid 20th century].
Copper repouseé, engraved and punched.
Flat plate. Inscription repouseé on the rim: "Vehi Sheamda…" (Hebrew). A repouseé relief in the center of the plate depicts the Exodus, inscribed "Ubeney Israel…zecher LeYetzi'at Mitzrayim" (Hebrew). The surrounding, repouseé and engraved words, read: "Maror Beitza Charoset Chazeret Karpass Zero'a". Names of the Twelve Tribes and decorations that depict their emblems (Aeroplanes appear in the emblem of the Tribe of Simeon) are repouseé all around. Vegetal and geometric motifs decorate the inner surface of the plate.
Dimaeter: 65 cm. Good condition. Slight break, bends and wear.

Etched brass. Signed by the artist, in initials.
In the center - the inscription "Mazal Tov" within a Star of David, surrounded by decorations of grapevines and clusters of grapes, flowers, a pair of lions with sticking out tongues and an eagle. Miniature Stars of David form a border, inscribed: "Ata Shalom Ubeitcha Shalom…". Stars of David and vegetal decorations on the plate's rim.
Diameter: 11 cm. Good condition. Some corrosion and slight damages.

A plate with ornaments depicting the story of Joseph. [Egypt, first half of 20th century].
Cast brass, inlaid with silver and copper (Damascene craft).
A large medallion in the center depicts Joseph facing Pharaoh King of Egypt. Six scenes from Joseph's life surround the medallion, accompanied by verses in Hebrew (misspelled): Sale of Joseph to the Egyptians, Joseph thrown into the pit, Joseph's coat handed to Jacob, sale of Joseph, Potiphar's wife catching Joseph's garment, and imprisonment of Joseph in jail.
Diameter: 40 cm. Good condition.

Pocket watch, 18 Karat gold (marked), made by James McCabe, Royal Exchange, London, 1855 (according to mark).
The watch belonged to Yehezkel Yehoshua Avraham Gabai (1824-1896) and was presented as a gift to Solomon David Sassoon (son of the collector David Solomon Sassoon) on the occasion of his wedding, in 1943, by Mrs. Lizi Gabai (daughter in law of Yehezkel Gabai).
Enclosed is a letter from Yosef Yehezkel Yehoshua Avraham Gabai, brother of Farha Sassoon (neé Gabai), in which he writes that the watch belonged to "my father…Yehezkel Yehoshua Avraham Gabai…" (Hebrew)
6X4.5 cm. Good condition. No glass. Enclosed is a winding key.

The model, in shades of yellowish-brown, stands on an elevated rectangular base. Used as a lighting device, possibly as a memorial candle (an opening for inserting a candle on the lower right side).

Olive wood; ink; fabric.
Unique design. Oval container. On the lid - fine carving of the four species: Ethrog in the center. Willow (Arava) and palm frond (Lulav) surround the Ethrog like a frame, and the myrtle is bound to them. The inscription "Jerusalem ירושלם" appears on the margin of the lid. Purple velvet lining.
Height: 9 cm, length: 11.5 cm, width: 16 cm. Good condition.

On one finial - carved reliefs in the shape of Prophet Zechariah's Tomb and the Western Wall and on the other finial a relief of Rachel's Tomb and the Temple (Dome of the Rock) with names of sites in black ink. The inscription "Yerushalem" (Hebrew) is added on the lower part of the handles. Two cypresses are carved between the reliefs.
Height: 17 cm. Good condition. Cracks. Repairs of wood.
