Linen, embroidery and metal threads.
Rectangular fabric. The entire surface is covered with colorful embroidery in orange, purple, light blue and brown. Three Stars of David with the word "Zion" are embroidered along the fabric, among them vegetal and geometric patterns surrounded by a frame which consists of the word "Jerusalem" (Hebrew) in a repeated pattern.
Length 174 cm, width: 43 cm. Fair condition. Wear, unraveling, holes, mending of embroidery.

Silk Brocade and golden metal threads, antique-style embroidery, Ikat lining.
A long coat made of purple colored silk-Brocade, with beautiful woven gold embroidery - klawttun - in an antique style, made of a combination of golden threads and golden metal threads. Hem-ribbons - zeh - adorn the borders of the coat. The lining is made of silk taffeta fabric colored in the Ikat method. Exquisite gold embroidery on the back - circles and a Star of David.

Four silver bracelets and a golden earring, from the residence of Abu Rubin, residence of the ancestors of the Sassoon family in Baghdad. Baghdad, [17th century].
Paper labels titled by hand by the collector David Solomon Sassoon are attached to the bracelets and the earring. Written on the bracelets' label - "Bracelets for girls, three hundred years old, from the residence of Abu Rubin, residence of my ancestors in Baghdad. I brought them from there in 1911". On the label attached to the earring: "Old earring from the residence of Abu Rubin in Baghdad, 1911".
The residence of Abu Rubin in Baghdad was the residence of Sheikh Sassoon Saleh David Ya'akov - father of David Sassoon the first (grandfather of David Solomon Sassoon), which was named after his son, Reuven, who died in a plague in 1802.
Bracelets: approx. 5X5 cm, earring: approx. 1.5 cm. Good condition.
Provenance: The Sassoon family collection.
