Eight prints depicting sites in Eretz Israel: Rachel's Tomb, Absalom Tomb, Jeremiah Tomb, Kidron Spring Bridge, Holy Sepulcher Church, view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, Pool of Siloam and Pool of Bethesda.
The Italian-German painter Luigi (Ludwig) Mayer (1755-1803), worked for the British ambassador to the Ottoman Empire, Robert Ainsley. Between the years 1776-1794 he toured the Ottoman Empire on behalf of his employer and was known for his paintings of views and sites in the Balkan Peninsula, Asia Minor, Syria, Eretz Israel and North Africa.
Leaves: approx. 34.5X26 cm. Each four prints are framed together in a 98X82 cm frame. Good condition. Some stains. Unexamined out of frames.

Les Juifs Devant le Mur de Salomon. Jews at prayer at the Western Wall. Photogravure after Alexandre Bida's illustration (signed in the plate). Paris-New-York: Boussod, Valadon & Cie, successeurs de Goupil & Cie, [between 1884-1887].
The French painter Alexandre Bida (1813-1895) visited Palestine in 1859 and painted the Western Wall and Jews at prayer. It is worthwhile noting that the worshipers have left their shoes in a pile on the side.

View of the holy places, created by "…Reuven Gabai from Jerusalem" (Hebrew). Bouyer printing press. Algiers, Algeria, 1864. Lithograph.
A large leaf, with a hagiographic map of the Holy Places in Eretz Israel, sent to the philanthropists to promote donations for settlers in Eretz Israel.
In the center of the leaf appears an illustration of the Western Wall, Midrash Shlomo" and "Beit HaMikdash" (Dome of the Rock). Below the illustration appears a printed dedication "offering from the Holy city of Jerusalem…for the noble philanthropist…" (Hebrew). All around appear graphic depictions of tens of holy sites in Eretz Israel: tombs of the patriarchs and tombs of prophets, Tana'im and Amora'im, synagogues in Safed, and other sites, decorated with illustrations of trees, flowers, animals and more.
Approx. 51X65 cm. Fair condition. Stains, tears and creases, professionally restored. Damages to text and to illustrations. Some stains. Framed. Unexamined out of frame.

This micrography is slightly different from the one created by Schulman and is not documented in literature concerning illustrations of the Holy Sites.

A colorful illustration of the Western Wall and the Holy Sites. Surrounded by a floral decoration, with illustrations of a leopard, eagle, gazelle and a lion in the four corners ("Be strong as a leopard, and swift as an eagle, and fleet as a gazelle, and brave as a lion…"). Attributed to the painter Yosef Zvi Geiger (according to the owner, the illustration comes from the estate of the artist). Unsigned.
Rabbi Yosef Zvi Geiger (1870-1944), fourth generation in Safed, worked as a scribe, author and illustrator, and was a renowned Safed artist.
Approx. 47X61 cm. Good-fair condition. Some tears, creases and stains, folding marks. Framed. Unexamined out of frame.

A crown is illustrated on the upper part, above it the letters "כ" and "ת" and on the sides the words "year 5670" (1910). An illustration of the Western Wall and Temple Mount surrounded by olive branches appears below the crown. On the lower part - illustration of a ribbon, with a dedication: "belongs to Yitzchak Naftali…and his spouse…". On the lower part of the certificate is an additional inscription. Comments in pencil appear on the margins. An additional dedication appears on the reverse.
The sketch is attributed to Bella Hamenachem, wife of Ezra Ben Eliyahu. Enclosed are three additional sketches by her, created in Jerusalem early in the 20th century, and booklets with embroidery patterns.

A large lithograph, divided into three sections: depicted in the upper part is Isaac on the altar, Abraham lifting the sword and the angel grasping it; on the left - a ram whose horns are caught by a tree's branches. In the middle part - Abraham and Isaac on the way to Mount Moriah, and the boys, wearing Turkish hats and smoking a Narghile and a pipe, next to the donkey. On the lower part - Rebecca offers Eliezer, servant of Abraham, some drinking water from her jug, with ten camels behind him.
In the outer frame appear verses from the story of Isaac's binding (Genesis 22) and verses of blessing and protection - "Priestly Benediction", "G-d shall give you dew and oil…". Artist's signature appears in the lower frame: "Me, Moshe Ben Yitzchak Mizrahi Jerusalem , 1913…" (Hebrew).
