Charity (Zedaka) and "Azkarat Neshamot" box. Galați, Romania, [ca. 1920s-30s].
Wood; glass; brass; printing on paper.
A large wooden box; in front is a charity box with a brass plate with an engraved inscription "Hevra Kadisha". A "cabinet" with a glass window stands on the box with a printed leaf in it which bears the writing "Azkarat Neshamot" ("Pomenirea pentru sufletul tatei" - Hebrew and Romanian; printed by Friedmann printing press, Galați) - with space for placing plaques with names for "Azkarat Neshamot".
Height: 32 cm, length: 13 cm, max. width: 18.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Some decorations are lacking. No lock for upper compartment. Scratches and damages.

Three devices and a plaque for a synagogue, to present the weekly Torah portion. [Jerusalem, ca. mid 20th century].
1. Tin plaque painted black, with inscription in white: "Prayer times, Parashat…". 39.5X33 cm. Fair condition, significant flaking and remnants of labels, bends and damages to paint.
2. Wooden case for hanging, architectural design, with a large arch, below which is a pair of lions holding the Tablets of the Law, a pair of columns and nine small gates. Includes pieces of paper with titles of the weekly Torah portions. 36X37.5 cm. Fair-good condition.
3. Tin case for hanging on a wall, topped with a Star of David. Removable lid. Pieces of paper with titles of the Weekly Torah Portions are found within the case. 26X16 cm. Fair-good condition. Bends and paint flaking.

"Safed" Kiddush cup. [Europe, 19th century; Eretz Israel, early 20th century].
Silver (marked), engraved.
The Kiddush cup was made in Europe in the 19th century and ornaments were added in Eretz Israel early in the 20th century. Three medallions, on which fine ornaments are engraved: "Western Wall", "Cave of the Patriarchs" and "Tombs of the Davidic dynasty". Surrounded by leaves and flowers. An inscription is engraved around the rim: "Noah Asher Tesler... Tzefat".
Height: 7 cm, max. diameter: 6 cm. Good condition.
Silver (marked), engraved.

Silver (marked), cast and engraved.
Engraved by the rim is the inscription "Baruch Ata…Boreh Pri Hagafen". Two round medallions appear on the goblet with a Star of David and the word "Zion" inscribed as well as the letters מ'ג'ן'ד'ו'ד'י. A seven-branched Menorah appears between the medallions, decorated with flowers.
Height: 9.5 cm, rim diameter: 7 cm. Good condition.

Rectangular box adorned with geometric patterns. Standing on four legs repouseé with a vegetal pattern. In the center - lock (no key) with decorations of swans on both sides. A plaque on the lid, with a delicate relief depicting three Putti angels in a vineyard.
Height: 9.5 cm, length: 14 cm, width: 9.5 cm. Good condition. Slight bends. Slight damage to lid.

Silver (marked) cast, repouseé, engraved and pierced.
Tower-shaped spice container. Side panels and upper part are decorated with vegetal and geometric designs and with miniature castings of lions and eagles. A hinged door in front panel. Bells suspended from top of the tower and from the borders. A round stem with a flat ball over a round base, elevated and decorated with grape vines. Engraved on the base are initials "M.R."
Height: 28 cm. Good condition. Slight bends. Flag on top of the tower is not original.

Silver, filigree. Marked: "Bezalel Yerushalem" (with soldered silver thread, on base of stem).
A tower-shaped container, ornamented with silver threads and small balls. The word "Zion" appears on the flag, inscribed with silver thread, soldered. The lid is removable; the container is surround by a brass-sheet ring which is seen through the windows and renders them a golden shade.
Height: 17.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains.

White glaze and blue decorations to both vessels. A circle appears in the center inscribed with the word "Pesach" in black-purple, surrounded by four tendrils. Bordered by a blue stripe.
Small bowl - diameter: 19 cm. Plate - diameter: 23 cm. Both in good-fair condition. Chips at rims. Scratches.
