The Godseekers / Jerusalem: Bineth Gallery, 1966 / Album with ten woodcuts by Reuven Rubin; with an introduction in Hebrew and English by Dr. Haim Gamzu / Average size: 28X33 c (portfolio: 43X56 cm) / Signed and numbered, 14/65
The album "The Godseekers" was created by Reuven Rubin in 1923 and includes twelve woodcuts in an expressionist style, presenting images that fuse Jewish tradition with scenes of Palestine during the Third Aliya (early 1920s). In 1966 the album was republished by the Bineth Gallery. The 1966 album includes only ten of the original twelve woodcuts (two were omitted as they were considered immodest by Gershon Bineth, an observant Jew).
