Colorful lithograph, portraying the “Birkat HaBanim” ceremony on the eve of Yom Kippur. Details of printer and the title are printed in Hebrew and Russian. Approx. 37.5X52 cm. Fair condition. Numerous tears, professionally restored. Flakings and stains. Margins are cut and partly lacking. Mounted (partially) on Bristol.

“Ner Hashem Nishmat Adam, Lezecher Olam”. Printed “Jahrzeit” (memorial day) leaf. [Europe?, late 19th century]. Lithographic printing in green and red. On the upper part – two plates for filling out names of the deceased and dates of death, with a memorial candle. On the lower part – various verses related to death, arranged in a circle in the center of which appears an illustration of the Western Wall. On the lower part appears the inscription “Beracha LeBeitcha” (blessing for your house). Frame with two pillars with scrolling vine leaves and clusters of grapes. Leaf mounted on heavy paper 26.5X18.5 cm. Fair condition. Tears and stains. Creases. Tear at lower right corner.

“Yahrtzeit” Leaf, “Linat HaZedek” society in “Mazkeret Moshe” Neighborhood. Jerusalem, [ca.1900]. Records of deaths, from the year 1890 through 1936. Ink on heavy paper. Fine illustration of a crown and decorated verses’ titles. Drawn on the leaf is a table divided according to months; in each column are recorded names of deceased – men on top and women on the bottom. Among the names: Rabbi Yosef Rivlin, of the neighborhood founders; Rabbi Eliezer Lipman ben Ya’akov Berlin (brother of the Netziv of Volozhin), as well as names appearing with the title “HaKadosh” – names of those who were, most probably, killed during World War I. 42X55 cm. Fair condition. Dark stains. Creases. Tears, some restored. Passé-par- tout.

This amulet, as far as its design is concerned, is identical to the previous item; however this amulet is printed on white paper in red ink, and colored by hand. 62X42 cm. Stains. Written at the end: “This Ilan was written in holiness and purity for success, favor and childbearing and complete recovery and protection from plagues…and from evil spirits…and from ayin hara…”. Another vellum amulet with Holy Names is attached to the end of the amulet with the Ilan. Includes a silver case which contained the amulet. [Oriental countries, 20th century]. Long narrow format, rolled. Length of the (Ilan) amulet: 83 cm + another amulet, 25 cm. Length of silver case: approximately 7 cm. · Vellum amulet, with Holy Names, illustration of a hand (Chamsa) and a Star of David. Includes a silver case which housed the amulet. [Oriental countries, 20th century]. Long narrow format. 31 cm. Length of silver case: approximately 6 cm. · Leather case with amulet. The case is sewn at all sides, with a loop for hanging. The case was not opened and the amulet inside was not examined. [Oriental countries, 20th century]. Three amulets. Overall good condition.
