Two Shabbat and Memorial lamps (“Kandil”). 1. Mogador, [early 20th century]. Cut and engraved silver. Backplate is decorated with vegetal patterns; topped with a pair of chickens. Length: 26 cm, width: 14.5 cm. Side plates and the base are partly detached (lacking brackets). Silver plate, at base, is slightly broken. 2. Morocco, [late 19th / early 20th century]. Cut brass, hammered and embossed. Backplate is decorated with a bird cut out of a brass plate. Embossed geometric and vegetal patterns. Length: 30 cm., max. width: 14.5 cm. Good condition. Memorial lamp, for hanging on the synagogue wall (Kas / Kas Des-s’il). Morocco, dedication from 1953. Sawn and engraved silver. Elaborate object. Upper band with a cut dedication: “Ner Mitzva…Shlomo Butbul…1953”. Lower band with engraved inscription: “Tantzeva”, base sawn in the shape of a Star of David, with rich decorations in floral motifs and a large flower turning down from the center of the Star of David. The two bands are supported by three cut “wings”, with curved vegetal patterns and engraved lines. Two long hooks are attached to a wooden board, for suspension. Height: 38 cm, max. width: 40 cm. Good condition. No glass jug. Stains and tarnish. Breaks to lower rings.

Memorial lamp, for hanging on the synagogue wall. [Tunisia, 1937]. Dedication from 1937. Wood, silver. Nailed to a wooden plate is a decoration shaped as a seven-branched Menorah. On the base of the Menorah appears an engraved inscription: “10 Juin 1937, in memory of Avraham Mamo…”. A stylized hanger is attached to the lamp rod. The stand for the lighting lamp is soldered to it, decorated with flowers and an engraved inscription: “The old Avraham Mamo…”. With glass cup for oil (broken). Length: 39 cm, width: 23.5 cm, depth: 17 cm. Good condition. Bends.

Posen Torah crown. Germany, late 19th century. Silver (marked), gold-plated, cast, repouseé and cut. Massive crown, adorned with an ornamentation of large leaves and a vegetal pattern. Bells appear, alternately, between the leaves. The crown is topped with a stylized ball. A large bell hangs within the crown (detached). A late dedication in Hebrew (from 1953) appears on the base. Height: 32 cm, maximum diameter: 23 cm. Good condition. Missing bell. Some stains.

Small ornament for a Torah scroll. [Europe, early 20th century]. Silver (not marked), engraved. Ornament consists of two parts: upper part shaped as a shield engraved “…Yagdil Torah…”. On the reverse – a clasp (for hanging on the Torah scroll case). The lower part is shaped as a Star of David, engraved: “Darkeiha Darkei Noam…”. The inscription is engraved in exceptionally fine letters. Both parts are connected to each other with three loops. Max. length: 15.5 cm., max. width: 7 cm. Good condition.

Five Torah pointers. Morocco, 19/20th century. Silver; brass; casting and engraving. The Moroccan Torah pointer (“Yad”) was, in general, flat, with a hamsa-shaped hand and a long pointing finger, and was named “Qlam des-sifer”. The Torah pointers offered here feature a stylized hoop or circle on top and are decorated with vegetal and geometric patterns. An inscription on one pointer: “In honor of… Miriam wife of David Zafrani…”. An ornamentation of a Star of David with the letter ‘ש appears on another pointer. Average length 15-22 cm. Overall good condition.

Pair of Torah Finials, Vienna (Alt Wien), 1846 Silver (marked) cast, embossed and engraved. Round base. Handles, base and body of finials are decorated with tiers of floral and vegetal decoration. Upper part is shaped as a crown topped with a decoration shaped like a flower bud with leaves. Six chains are suspended from each finial decorated with flower-shaped pendants ending with discs decorated with embossed flowers (four of the discs of one finials were replaced by Persian coins of the 19th century). Engraved inscription on the base: “Eliezer [with his spouse] / Gittle Gestetner” (Hebrew). Height: 37 cm. Overall good condition. Slightly bent and broken crown decorations on top of the finials. Missing bells (?).

Two pairs of Torah finials (“Apples”). Morocco or Algeria, [first half of 20th century]. 1. Pair of finials. Cast and cut silver. Positioned on a round leg. The body of the Finial, called in Morocco “Apple” is hexagonal, with a repeated pattern on each panel: stylized vegetal decoration with an oval shape below within which is a pendant; lower strap is decorated with Stars of David. On top appears a decoration which ends with a ball. Six bells hang on the sides. Height: 33 cm. Good condition. Some stains and scratches. Lacking seven pendants. 2. Pair of finials [Morocco or Algeria]. Cast silver, sawn, embossed and engraved. Large finials. Narrow and long shape. Lower part decorated with leaves and flowers and upper part with sawn vegetal patterns, with four windows shaped as horseshoe-arches from which hang pendants shaped as flowers. Four chains hang on stylized hooks with bells at the end. Height: 36 cm. Overall good condition. Some bends. Missing five flower-pendants. Missing chain (with bell).
