Three silver bowls. [Afghanistan? first half of 20th century]. Silver; engraving. One bowl with a fine engraving of the blessing “Baruch Ata…”, five fish and a Star of David (with the Hebrew letters מג”ן דו”ד within the six triangles). A turquoise stone is set in the center of the Star of David; the second bowl with a simple engraving of a Star of David with “Zion” in it; the third bowl is not engraved. Such bowls were used by Afghani Jews for drinking Arak on festive occasions. Diameter: 9-9.5 cm. Good condition. Some bends and stains.

Pair of silver candlesticks. Poland, [19th century]. Silver (marked) cast and repouseé. Designed as Corinthian pillars with ornamented capitals and with acanthus leaves at the bases. Candle holders (removable) attached to top of pillars, with round frame and made of silver threads. The pillars stand on massive bases, with ornamentations shaped as plant pots with flowers. Sqaure base. Height: 37.5 cm. Good condition. Stains.

Ethrog Container. Berlin. Early 19th century. Silver (marked). Rectangular box, positioned on four legs, repousseé of a vegetal pattern. A lock in the center (with key), decorated with a floral pattern on the sides. A clasp in the shape of a pumpkin on the cover, with decorative fruit on the sides. Maximum height: 12 cm, width: 14 cm, length: 9.5 cm. Good condition. Undamaged lock, crack to upper left edge.

Spice container shaped as a tower. [East Europe, 19th century]. Silver (marked, silver-mark not clear), pierced, filigree. Four long legs. Container with a door opening downwards; three panels are adorned with two birds facing each other (this motif originates, as it seems, from the folk art of papercutting which was common in East Europe). An additional tier with four windows and above it an additional tier, pointed, with a balcony and a flag. Height: 21.5 cm Good condition. Spice container. Germany, mid 19th century, dedication from 1857. Silver (marked), filigree and engraving. Square base positioned on four balls. A dedication is engraved on the panels of the base: “…generous… Moshe of Odessa [?] from Berlin in memory of his father Yitzchak… Halevi in 1857…”. The tower consists of three tiers; two are in delicate filigree craftsmanship in geometric and vegetal patterns. A door opens with a lock, for spices. A bell on top of a small ball is hung on the center of the upper tier. Height: 29 cm. Fair condition. Damages to door. A flag and post are missing.
