Album with approx. 185 photographs (mounted on cardboard pages), taken during a private journey in the north of Eretz Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Switzerland, [late 19th century, ca.1875-1885].
The album contains about 45 photographs of Eretz Israel portraying, among others, Tiberias (the town and its surroundings), Kineret, Bedouines near the Hula, Druze in Upper Galilee, Jordan River (next to Dan), the village of Jauni (later: Rosh Pina), Bnot Ya'akov Bridge, view from a tent erected by the travelers near the Banias and inhabitants living in the area, the Jordan River sources (Banias), Mount Hermon, Majdal Shams, and the travelers tent camp (some of the photographs are panoramic). Further in the album appear approx. 54 photographs from Syria and Lebanon (Damascus, Beirut, and other locations) and ca. 80 photographs from a Ski-vacation in Davos. Several additional photographs are enclosed at the end of the album, including two panoramic photographs which were most probably taken in the North of Eretz Israel. Size varies, average size: 9X12 cm, to 9X30 cm (panoramas). Album: 27.5X38 cm. Photographs in good condition. Several photographs detached. Album in fair-good condition: lacking

The album contains approx. 180 photographs, approx. 30 of them taken in Eretz Israel, depicting the settlement of Kaneh, the Dome of the Rock and the Temple Mount, "Eshel Avraham" (Hebron), next to Rachel's Tomb, Jordan River, Ramla, and other sites (most photographs are titled in pencil on album's leaves). Other photographs depict the travel by sea, Ismailia, Cairo, the Pyramids and the Sphinx, Baalbek, Damascus, and more. Photographs: 8.5X8.5 cm, overall good condition. Minor tears to some photographs. Album: 26.5X25.5 cm with heavy cardboard leaves, fair condition. Leaves are not bound, some photographs detached. Tears and breaks at leaves' margins.

Twenty eight photographs portraying sites and views: Dome of the Rock, Austrian Hospice in Jerusalem, Rachel's Tomb, Absalom's Tomb, Bethlehem, Hebron and more. Photos are mounted on cardboard leaves; most photographs are numbered and titled on the reverse of the cardboard leaves (French). Contained in an olive-wood binding with leather spine (not bound). On one side of the binding appears the inscription "Jerusalem" and on the reverse – "Meiner Mutter". Photographs: approx. 11X7.5 cm, mounted on cardboard leaves – approx. 16X12 cm. Good condition. Some stains. Binding 17X12 cm. Detached and damaged.

167 plates with professional photographs taken by Kahn during his mission to Eretz Israel in 1912, on behalf of the newspaper and in cooperation with the JNF.
Originally the series was printed and arranged in three folders ("From Jaffa to Jerusalem", "From Jerusalem to Haifa", "The Galilee") and included 180 plates. Presented are plates from the three folders, including the original covers of folders 2 and 3. Some of the plates appear in two copies. Photographs: 8.5X11 cm, printed on 20X16 cm plates. Folds to some plates. Only the front and back cardboard plates are left of the original folders.

Among the photos: British and Arab fighters (photo of Fawzi al-Qawuqji, riding a horse; photo of General John Dill, commander of a British division sent to Eretz Israel to subdue the Arab revolt; and more); photos from battle fields; photos of the military cemetery in Jerusalem; photo of Haj (muhamed) Amin el-Huseini, Mufti of Jerusalem; photos of the cities of Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa and Jericho; and more.
