"Demanding the withdrawal of the British Army from the Country!", a poster on behalf of the central commission of the "Palestinian Communist Party". "Nesher" Printing Press, Tel-Aviv, [1947].
A poster calling for sending postcards to the "special committee of the United Nations" demanding the withdrawal of the British Army from Eretz Israel. On the upper part of the poster appears an illustration of the postcards – on one side, photographs documenting how the British abuse the inhabitants of Eretz Israel, and on the other, the wording of the petition to the United Nations: "The British Army in the country abuses the Jewish Yishuv and the refugees, endangers the security of the country’s inhabitants and is aimed at serving as a strategic base for a third world war. I, therefore, address the United Nations demanding a decision to withdraw the British Army from the country” (Hebrew).
Most probably, the poster was printed in preparation of the visit to Eretz Israel of the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP). Approx. 48X63 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Slight stains (paper clip foxing to upper part). Filing holes. Slight tears at margins (two fastened with adhesive tape).

A poster calling to contribute to the "ambulance-fund", assisting the Soviet Union. In the center of the poster appears an illustration of a mother and her son facing a blood-dripping sword and a swastika on it. On the lower part appears the inscription "Soldier of Red Army, Help!" (Hebrew).
The organization "League V" was founded in Eretz Israel in October 1941 to support the Soviet Union in its fight against the Nazis. The organization opened branches all over the country and raised funds to assist the Soviet Union. With the money raised, the organization acquired three well-equipped ambulances. In April 1943 the ambulances left on their way from Eretz Israel to Iran where they were handed over to the Red Army. 31.5X47 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Slight tears at margins.
