15000 Jewish Soldiers, 1 Demand: A Jewish Army! [USA, 1940s].
Blue lino-cut. The poster calls for the establishment of a Jewish army. The Revisionist Movement, headed by Ze'ev Jabotinsky, was active in the 1940s in effort to establish a Jewish Army to fight alongside the Allied Forces. After Jabotinsky's death, the political activists of Etzel in the USA, started a propaganda campaign for this matter, an action which served as an incentive for Zionists of the central movements to join the struggle. In May 1944 "The Jewish Committee for Liberating the Nation" was founded and acted to save Jews in Europe, to establish a Jewish army and a Jewish state in Eretz Israel. 47X31 cm. Good condition. Central folding mark and minor creases. Tears, most of which are professionally restored. Library ink stamps.
