Sixteen issues of Le Petit Journal dealing with the Dreyfus Affair and Emil Zola. Paris, August 1893 until September 1899. French.
Issues of the illustrated supplement to the Parisian daily, "Le Petit Journal", which was one of the most extreme opponents to Alfred Dreyfus. On the first and last page of each journal, illustrations in color depicting the Dreyfus Affair and the Zola Affair: Dryefus in a military court; the military ceremony when his ranks were ripped off his uniform; Dreyfus in jail, a guard serving him food; trial in Rennes; military prison in the city of Rennes; Zola Affair - Court; departure of Emil Zola; and more. Most of the illustrations are by the French illustrator and caricaturist Henri Meyer.
In issue no. 217 appears an illustration which more than others is identified with the Dreyfus Affair (by the illustrator Meyer) -”Traitor: ripping off the ranks of Alfred Dreyfus”.

A composition proving that the "Protocols of the Elderly of Zion" are a forgery, comparing three texts - a German version of the "Protocols" titled "Secrets of the Elderly of Zion" (die Geheimnisse der Weisen von Zion) by Ludwig Mueller; "The Zionist Protocols" (Die Zionistischen Protokolle) by Theodor Fritsch (1852-1933), politician, member of "The German Anti-Semitic People's Party", a leading anti-Semitic ideologue in Germany; the book "Dialogues in Hell between Machiavelli and Montesquieu", by Maurice Joly, published in Brussels in 1864 criticizing napoleon's regime (dialogues composed for this book served at a later stage as a base for the "Protocols of the Elderly of Zion").
In 1933 the "Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities" sued the "Bund Nationalsozialistischer Eidgenossen" (Swiss National-Socialist Front) for distributing the "Protocols of the Elderly of Zion" in one of the movement's conventions. In 1934 the "Berne Trial" started and many evidences were gathered about the sources of the protocols and their uses (one of the first witnesses on behalf of the prosecution was Chaim Weizmann). In 1935, the court in Switzerland determined that the protocols are a forgery. This booklet was printed towards the Berne Trial or a similar trial held at the same time in Basel. 44 pp, 31 cm. Dubinsky jubilee celebration, R' Ya'akov Zvi ben R' Baruch. [Nice, France, 1941]. Yiddish, Hebrew and French.
A booklet issued by the Jewish congregation in Nice in honor of one of its members, Ya'akov Dubinsky (born in Rashkov, 1861), a wealthy merchant and activist, one of the city's nost influential people, on his eightieth birthday. The booklet, printed during WW II and the holocaust, is stenciled, and includes greetings from congregation rabbis and members, rabbis in Belgium, pupils of the Hebrew school (and Talmud Torah) of "Ezrat Achim" synagogue, and more. The booklet also includes a humoristic text for Purim. Illustrations, professionally colored by hand, featuring Jewish religious objects and monuments appear throughout the booklet, including a drawing of the ark in "Adat Israel" synagogue, Nice. The booklet and most of the illustrations were created by Eliezer Berson (Ben Dov), of Nice (see item no. 496). A handwritten dedication appears on the title page. [1], 40 leaves, 32 cm. Poster issued by Seine-et-Oise département authorities - declaring a Jewish community census. Jews are obliged to declare all real estate properties which they own, according to an official order from July 31,1941. La Gutenberg printing press. Versailles, 1941. French.
The notice ends with a warning that whoever will not declare his property, or will present a false declaration, risks imprisonment in a special detention camp, even if he is French.
In July 1941 the Vichy government started a wide scope "Aryanisation" plan, during which Jewish property was confiscated by the state. During this period about 42,000 Jewish enterprises were confiscated including buildings and other property. 60X90 cm. Good condition. Folding marks, stains and minor tears. Trompoler, born in Warsaw in 1910, arrived in Shanghai from Kobe, Japan, as a Polish war refugee in August 1941; was active in "HaMizrahi" movement and was the secretary of the movement in Shanghai, treasurer of "Va'ad HaShekalim HaArtzi" and secretary of the central committee for the elections to the 22nd Zionist Congress, active in the Jewish Agency (in this capacity assisted immigration efforts to Eretz Israel). In addition he worked as an electrician for UNRRA.
The collection includes: "certificate" with visa ink stamps to Japan and China; certificate of temporary residence in Japan; documents from the committee of "Jewish Ashkenazi Congregation in Shanghai"; certificate from the Polish Residents Association in China (1943); document certifying allocating an apartment for Trompoler, on behalf of Office for the Shanghai Stateless Refugee Affairs, and some other documents.
