Passover Haggadah - for Australian Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen. Melbourne (Australia), 1945.
Haggadah with an English translation, illustrations and drawings (copied from ancient Haggadot). A stereotype edition of a Haggadah printed for soldiers
in 1943. With a preface to this edition by the Army chaplain of the Australian army. On the verso of the cover is an illustration (by E. M. Lilien) with an inscription in the center: "Haggadah… for Jewish soldiers in Australia 1945". On the page opposite the title page is a map depicting the Exodus from Egypt.
[2], 34; 34 pages, [9] picture plates. Printed cover. 15.5 cm. Good condition. Stains on the cover.

Manuscript, written from left to right. Several phrases of the Hebrew version of the Haggadah [square writing with vowels], with a Spanish translation and explication [in cursive handwriting]. Written on the title page that the manuscript was copied from the Haggadah published by Shlomo ben Hayun in Tangier (1912).
• Enclosed is a printed brochure [2 leaves]: Seder para las dos nichas de pesah [instructions for the Passover Seder in Spanish]. Tangier, 1963.
[27] leaves (many more empty leaves), most written on one side. 22.5 cm. Fair condition. Worm damages. Moisture marks and dark stains. Damaged and partially detached binding.

The Seder Simanim (Kadesh U'Rechatz) with Arabic explanations (incomplete) appear at the beginning of the manuscript.
[16] leaves. The Haggadah is lacking at the end (in the middle of Hallel). 18 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, wear and tears. Scribbles and ownership inscriptions. New binding.

At the end of the manuscript is an illustrated, adorned colophon, with the name of the writer, "Abdul[lah] ebn Yonah", who signed his name several times.

Manuscript, Taj – Keter Torah [Five Books of Torah with te'amim]. [Yemen, c. 14th century].
Two small format volumes. Square Yemenite writing, with vowels and te'amim. Margins adorned with the Mesorah text in small letters [the Mesorah text appears at the bottom of the pages styled like a woven carpet].
The first volume contains Bereshit and Shemot and the second, Vayikra, Bamidbar and Devarim. Bound at the beginning of the first part are leaves of the composition "Tijan Notebooks" (in Judeo-Arabic) written at a later time.
At the beginning of Volume 1 is an ancient faded [or erased] inscription of sale or inheritance. The year is written at the end of the inscription: 1434.
The Taj books were usually written in a large format. This is a rare phenomenon of Taj written in a small format.
Two volumes. Volume 1 – Bereshit-Shemot: [15], [149] leaves. ([15] leaves: the Tijan notebooks). Volume 2 – Vayikra-Bamidbar-Devarim: [171] leaves + [4] replacement leaves (beginning with Vayikra Chapter 1, Verse 9 [missing one leaf?], and ending with Devarim 32, 49 [end of V'Zot HaBracha]; the replacement leaves at the end are in a later handwriting). Approximately 12 cm. Varied condition among the leaves, good-fair. Most leaves are in overall good condition. Stains, wear and tear. Worm marks to several places.
