At the end of the booklet is his stamp "Masud ebn Yitzchak Shabbat from the city of Sus" – Rabbi Masud ben Shabbat was a Torah scholar in Casablanca and in Tardane.

Long letter of halachic responsum handwritten and signed by Rabbi Avraham Abuchatzira, to Rabbi David Tzabach Rabbi and posek in the city of Mazagan (El Jadida, Algeria). Dar El-Beida (Casablanca), 1930.
Rabbi Avraham Abuchatzira (died in 1948) was born in Meknès and on his way to Eretz Israel, the community of Dar El-Beida asked him to serve in their city as rabbi and dayan. In 1945, he retired and after his death in 1948, the community built a room on his grave and the grave of his friend Rabbi Mesamach Elyakim. He wrote many halachic rulings and most of his writings remained in manuscript form. This responsum and other responsa on this matter by Rabbi Tzabach and Rabbi Mesamach Elyakim were printed in the Shoshanim L'David responsa, Part 2, Choshen Mishpat, Simanim 16-24.

Five handwritten ketubot from South Morocco from 1825, 1837, 1901, 1922 and 1940.
Three of the Ketubot are from the city of “Sijilmasa which is situated on the Ziz River”. [Sijilmasa is the ancient Arabic name of the city of Tafilalt which is situated on the Ziz River in South Morocco where members of the Abuchatzira family served in the rabbinate]. Two other ketubot from the same region.
Five ketubot, varied size and condition, the two ancient ketubot are damaged and lacking.

Collection of booklets of halachic responsa and rulings, by Rabbi Shalom Mashsash, who used to type them himself, with corrections, additions and glosses in his handwriting. Some have his signatures.
Attached to several booklets are draft leaves in the handwriting of Rabbi Mashash. The responsa and rulings were printed in his books.
Rabbi Shalom Mashash (1909-2003) was one of the greatest dayanim and halachic authorities of his times. From 1955, he served as Chief Rabbi and Av Beit Din of Casablanca, Morocco, and in 1976, he immigrated to Jerusalem to serve as Chief Rabbi and head of the Batei Din. He was a prolific writer on halacha and agadda: Mizrach Shemesh, Beit Shemesh, V'Cham HaShemesh, Tevuot Shemesh responsa, Shemesh U'Magen responsa, and more.

Kedushat Levi on the Torah, by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdychiv. Warsaw, 1876. Bound with Sefer HaChinuch. Warsaw, 1879.
On the page before the title page is a self-dedication written in the Lodz Ghetto under the Nazi occupation: "G-d has given me the privilege to own this book Kedushat Levi and Sefer HaChinuch, today Wednesday, Shelach, the 24 th of Sivan 1941 during the war, Ya'akov Yitzchak ben Rabbi Binyamin of Radoszyce here in Lodz, Ya'akova 6". The writer is Rabbi Ya'akov Yitzchak son of Rebbe Binyamin of Radoszyce (Encyclopedia L'Chassidut Vol 1, p. 350), descendant of the Saba HaKadosh of Radoszyce. Born in Lodz where his father served as Rebbe and later established a glorious Chassidic court in Radoszyce where he became famous as an ascetic tzaddik. Rebbe Binyamin perished in the Holocaust together with his holy sons (among them is Rabbi Ya'akov Yitzchak who signed this book).

The Bachad [Brit Halutzim Dati'im / Religious Pioneers] training camp in 's-Graveland was founded after the Holocaust. The camp, which operated for only several years, included a maximum of twenty pioneers who were trained for agriculture by farmers of the region, in anticipation of their immigration to Eretz Israel.

He was very active in assisting Holocaust survivors and among his other activities, he also dealt with releasing agunot. He collected the halachic questions that arose during that time into two books, M'Gai HaHarega and Emek HaBacha. After he immigrated to Eretz Israel, he was appointed Manager of the National Kashrut Department of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

"… It is known that the vile enemies attacked our brethren the People of Israel with greater cruelty than beasts of prey and planned to erase the name of the Jewish people and they spilled innocent blood. All who fell into their traps did not survive unless by real miracles".
At the top of the Heter (permission), from the 3rd of Tamuz 1946, are the signatures of rabbis of the Badatz of the Chassidim in Jerusalem: Rabbi Yerucham Fishel Bernstein, Rabbi Naftali Zvi Shmerler and Rabbi Yisrael Yitzchak Reisman.

Part 2: Four essays on the relative importance of Judaism and Christianity, by a native of Germany and professor of Christianity.
The first original work by Isaac Leeser (1807-1868). Leeser was a US Jewish leader and one of the first people who built American Judaism, a philosopher, literary editor who also translated Jewish books into English and wrote many sermons and lectures.
These books are the outcome of a series of articles that Leeser published in American periodicals in 1829, which dealt with defending the Jewish religion following a rise in missionary activities in the US. Subsequent to these articles, Leeser was invited to serve as a preacher and community leader of the Mikve Yisrael congregation in Philadelphia, which reinforced his status as one of the most significant figures on the US Jewish scene in the 19th century.
Two parts in one volume. VIII, [2], 278 pages [the two pages after the introduction (Contents and Advertisement) are not mentioned by Singerman, see ibid no. 578], 22 cm. Good condition. Organized and arranged by our genius mentor Rabbi Shmuel Salant … senior rabbi of Eretz Israel, of the descendants of Europe and America residing in Jerusalem, to congregate and pray in the great Beit Yaakov Synagogue in Jerusalem, for the success of the United States of America in their war, a war of duty, a war of liberty for the love of mankind”.
