Pendent amulet for protection of babies from Persia shaped as a house with Lilith bound in the center. Persia, [19th century?].
Engraved and welded silver.
In the center, the demon Lilith is bound by verses that make sure she will not escape and harm the baby. On her, inscribed in Hebrew, the name of the angel "Sansanui" and "Protection for the newborn he will never be harmed". Around her are protective Kabbalistic phrases.
Length: 8 cm, width: 6 cm.

Three-part buckle amulet, protection for the mother and baby, Persia, 19th century.

The buckle has three hinged parts: the middle section is square; the sides are designed as Persian gates. In the center: engraving of a flower. Around it is inscribed the name of the owner of the amulet: "Shoshana bat Rivka". Kabbalistic phrases and the names of protective angels are engraved around the flower. On the reverse side: a word in illegible script is engraved; perhaps the name of the amulet maker.

Parchment scroll, rolled on a wooden handle. Italian-Sephardic script (Vellish). Cut and illuminated with floral decorations in colorful ink. Wide columns, bordered by frames throughout the scroll. The scroll ends with a large and colorful illustration of flowers.
Parchment height: 21 cm. About 23 lines in a column. Fair condition. Tears, wear and stains. Color and letters are faded. Some letters are erased. Wood handle broken in two places.

Esther Scroll. [Jerusalem, 20th cent.]
A particularly large Esther Scroll. Written in only eight columns, 50 lines per column. Jerusalemite "Beit Yosef" script. "HaMelech" Scroll [Most leaves open with "HaMelech"]. In a matching case, made of tin, with a lid attached with a hinge. On the lid – a silver plaque with an engraved inscription of the owner: "Avraham Ya'akov Marcus". On top of the lid appears an engraving: "Bikur Cholim Hospital". Rabbi Ya'akov Avraham Marcus, a foremost member of a group of righteous in "Etz Haim" Yeshiva, rabbi of Rabbi Shmuel Huminer and of Rabbi Moshe Baruch Levine. He served as rabbi of Bikur Cholim Hospital for thirty years until his demise this past year.
Height of parchment: 56 cm. Fair condition. Wear and spots. Faded letters. Tin case 62 cm, fair condition.
