Large collection of original illustrations for children's books published by M. Newman. Tel Aviv, [1940-s-60-s].
Collection of ink illustrations on paper and sketches on pergament paper. The illustrations have printing instructions. Many are described in pencil.
The collection includes:
* Dozens of illustrations by Bina Gvirtz. Among them are her illustrations for the books, Marvad HaKesamim; Shiva Ne'arim V'Na'ara Achat (including several sketches on pergament paper, apparently sketches for the book's cover); Tiyul B'Cholot; 48 Stories for Children; HaShir SheHalach L'Tayel; B'Aviv Yisrael; etc.; other illustrations for unidentified books.
* Illustrations and sketches for book covers. Among them are covers designed by Aryeh Moskowitz [M. Aryeh], Shmuel Grondman, Moshe Matosovsky, Binah Gvirtz and others.
* 11 illustrations by Daniel Karavan to the book Kaze Gibor! 11 Stories for Children by Yossi Margalit (Tel Aviv, 1957).
* 20 illustrations by Avigdor Luisada for the book Keri Hapil (Tel Aviv, 1946).
