An album with letters written to Alfred (Avraham) Müller of Katowice or dedications written for him by Zionist activists when visiting his house in Katowice, 1920s-30s.
11 letters and dedications were written on the album leaves. In addition, 13 letters, paper cuttings and photos given to Müller (Sokolov's visit to Katowice) were pasted to the album leaves. Some of the letters and dedications were written in November 1934, when several Zionist activists visited Katowice, commemorating 50 years since the historic Katowice conference. Amongst the writers and dedicators in the album: Jehoshua Ozjasz Thon, Nahum Sokolov, Yitzhak Gruenbaum, Heinrich Loewe, Natan Bistritski (Agmon), and others. Approx. [33] pages (numerous blank pages), volume 22 cm, leather binding. Fair-good condition. Tears and stains. Detached leaves.

Attractive silver tray (stamped), in a decorated frame, standing on four legs (the frame and the legs are made of brass), with a Persian etching: decorations of plants and portraits of Herzl and Nachum Sokolov. Surrounding the edges of the tray is an inscription (with spelling mistakes): "If I forget thee Jerusalem…The State of Israel should merit years of Torah commanded to us by Moses…Zion shall be redeemed by justice and its returnees with charity". 38X62. Good condition.

List of landlords and families who received a donation from Moses Montefiore, through Rabbi Abraham Ashkenazi HaRishon Lezion and Rabbi Shmuel Salant. Jerusalem, October 14, 1873.
Scribal writing on blue paper (Rashi script), with signatures of the landlords. The scribe is Yossef Rivlin, who charged "for the list and the letter five and thirty Grush". On the upper part of the leaf: "List – we the undersigned who live in Mishkenot Sha'ananim by grace of the Righteous Minister Sir Moshe Montefiore received from…the two rabbies…charity donated by the Minister who sent…to be distributed according to the number of family members…for each member nine and sixty Grush and ten Pruta…and may G-d give him a long life…".
On the right side appears a list of Sephardic landlords and on the left side a list of Ashkenazic landlords. Amongst the names: Hazan, Burla, Cohen, Taragan, Harush, Tarablus, Lilienthal, Aleb, Rivlin, Meir of Plunge, Aharon Chelemer, Moshe Meir of Vasali, and others. 45X29 cm. leaf Good condition. Folding marks. Tears to folding marks. Some spots scorched by ink.

Texts from the origins (mainly from Psalms and Prophets, but also from R' Yehuda Halevy poems) are printed on one side while on the other side dried flowers from various parts of Eretz Israel have been artistically pasted (with captions in Hebrew and German). An additional title page in German followed by a short text by Heinrich Heine. Gilded edges. [13] leaves, 11.5X16.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Detached leaf, leaves and binding somewhat loose. Minor tears.

Offering of Judea and Jerusalem, collection of flowers growing in the Holy Land. Jerusalem, no date, no publisher or printer, [1910s?].
Cardboard sheets with dried flowers, decoratively arranged. On each sheet appears the writing "Jerusalem" followed by a biblical verse and the geographic area in Eretz Israel represented by the flowers (Ephraim Mountains, Sharon, Carmel, Hermon, etc).
A "Borders of Israel map" in lithographic printing in four colors opens the album, "for the Four Mothers" (Leah, Rachel, Zilpa and Bilha).
Olive wood binding, an inlaid Magen David on the front cover and on the back cover appears an embossed golden writing "Flowers of Jerusalem". Title page is printed in golden and green ink. Leather spine with an embossed golden inscription "Flowers of Jerusalem". Gilded edges. To the best of our knowledge, both the album and the map are unknown bibliographically. [13] leaves + map, 11.5X16.5 cm. Good condition.

1. "Collection of Flowers and Pictures of Holy Sites in the Holy Land, Jerusalem" Album. Lithographic printing [in color], A.L. Monsohn, Jerusalem, [1920s]. With dried flowers. Bound in a special olive wood binding, decorated with scorched decorations: in front the inscription "Olive", "Jerusalem" "flowers of Israel". On the reverse – an image of the Temple with palm trees on both sides. 10.5X16.5 cm.
2. Photo album (opens from left to right), [ca.1936-39]. On the front binding appears a drawing of settlements with a tower ("Stockade and Tower") and the writing "We are the Wall". On the reverse the inscription "Bezalel, Givat-Brenner".It seems that the album was created by a Givat Brenner Kibbutz member Aryeh "Kula" Gavrieli. 19X28 cm. Good condition. Photos of the 1930s-40s remained in the album.
