Eight booklets: 1-8. Illustrations in color. The booklets include comics inspired by "Mickey Mouse", "Pinoccio" and "Donald Duck" [Dany Avazany] by Walt Disney, stories and poems for children. Issue no. 2 was printed just before Hanukah, December 1947. Issue no. 6 was printed for Purim, March 1948.One of the first comic books published in Eretz Israel. 24 cm. Good condition. Moth holes. Minor tears (mainly to first issue), restored with adhesive tape. Contained in a nice case.

Collection composed of approximately 300 booklets and books, illustrated by Nachum Gutman (1898-1980).
Gutman was renowned for his illustrations of beloved children's books and he won important prizes for his illustrations and writings (Hans Christian Andersen award for children's literature on his book Shvil Klipot HaTapuzim; cherished citizen of Tel Aviv-Jaffa in 1976 and the Israel prize for children's literature in 1978). This collection has dozens of books written by some of the best authors and poets in Eretz Israel, who are not necessarily famous, with his illustrations. There are children's text books and readers, single issues and volumes of periodicals with Gutman's illustrations (HaBoker L'Yeladim, Davar L'Yeladim – Gutman was one of its founders and a member of its editorial staff for decades); series of booklets (Moadin L'Simcha, Stories by Levine Kipnis, Moladiteinu); books printed for she'erit hapleita in Germany by the Joint; Passover Haggadot and Esther scrolls with his illustrations, catalogs for exhibitions of his creations, postcards published by the Museum of Tel Aviv History, as well as many other books and booklets with Gutman's illustrations.
