Board for weekly Torah portions, for hanging in a Synagogue. [Early 20th century]. Carved wood. Designed as a shield, enclosed in a square frame. Inscription in golden ink: "Shabbat Kodesh Parshat”, with a special place for placing little inserts / notes displaying the name of the weekly portion. * Attached is wooden box with notes on which are handwritten the names of the weekly Torah portions (used with the board). Frame: 20X21 cm. Break in the upper part. Box – height: 5 cm. Width and length 7X5.5 cm.

Etrog Box. Jerusalem, beginning of 20th century. Carved and inlaid olive wood; printing. Octagonal box. Colorfor inlay at corners. On the front model of Western Wall, with writing: "Jerusalem" and “Western Wall”. On other sides are illustrations of holy places: “Temple site”, “Yad Absalom”, “Prophet Zechariah” and “Our Mother Rachel”. Relief ornament on lid: an open book decorated with branches, on it is printed the blessing “On taking the Lulav”, and “Sheheyanu blessing”. Writing in a frame on the lid: And you shall take on the first day fruit of a fine tree ..and you shall rejoice seven days”. Height: 9 cm. Width: 16 cm. Damage to the colorful inlay and to wood, lid partly detached.

Border decorated with floral decorations and pointed turrets. Detailed drawing of the binding of Isaac, beginning with Abraham leaving home with Isaac, the mule and the lads; the lads waiting far off; the scene with the angel; Hebrew inscription on the base of the plate: “The Binding of Isaac". Diameter 47 cm.

Frame for Ketubah (Marriage Contract). [Syria or Eretz Israel, beginning of 20th century]. Damascus Work (copper and silver inlaid into brass). Fine frame, apparently used as a frame for a Ketubah. The internal part of the frame is designed as a Star of David, The surface is entirely decorated with flowers and leaves. At the top of the frame a Torah crown and at its sides emblems of Hamsa in which there is a symbol of the eye and the words: “Voice of rejoicing, voice of happiness voice of groom and voice of bride”. At the bottom is a pair of doves (symbol of love) and fish (symbol of fertility). Inscriptions: “Hai”, “Hai” and Star of David. Height: 50 cm., width: 42 cm. Tracks for placing the ketubah at the back of the frame (missing, except for one). Pegs.

Tray with illustration of the spies. [Persia, early 20th cent.]. Cast and engraved copper. A rectangular tray, with an illustration of the spies returning from spying out the Land of Israel. Three figures with a cluster of grapes are seen in the center. In front of them is a figure with a stick and behind them a figure with a basket on the head and a fruit in the hand. In the background are trees and structures in a Persian architectural style. Inscription above and under the illustration: "and they told him: we saw the country and this is its fruit". Floral borders. 27X37.5 cm. Somewhat bent borders.

An illustration of a bed on one panel and engraved inscription: "LeEzrat Holim …" , "Hevrat Bikur Holim "(1781) [it is possible that the date refers to the date of the society's establishment]. Walking stick. Germany 19th century. Wood; silver (stamped), engraved. Walking stick belonging to Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer from Berlin. On the silver handle the following inscription is engraved: “Rabbiner Dr Hildesheimer - Von Seinen Schülern, Purim 5651” – "from his students, Purim 1891.” Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer (1820-1899) was an outstanding leader. Student of the author of “Aruch LaNer” and Rabbi Isaac Barneis of Hamburg. In the years 1851-1869 he served as Rabbi of Eisenstadt and there established a yeshiva, the first of its kind, where secular studies were taught as part of “Torah im Derech Eretz”. In 1869 was appointed Av Beit Din in Berlin, where he established the Rabbinical Seminary and was the head of Orthodox Jewry in Germany. Height: 85 cm., length of handle: 9.5 cm. Grooves and signs of wear.
