Oval tobacco and snuff box. Eretz Israel, [ca.late 1930s]. Tin-silver; shell; ivory; red gemstone. Lower part is made of shell. Box's lid made of a carved ivory plaque with two Stars of David and geometric designs; set in the center is a red gemstone. Next to the gemstone, in the inner frame of the ivory plaque appears a mark: "M.V. 2.1.42". Length: 5 cm, width: 6.5 cm, height: 1.3 cm. Slightly bent.

Luxurious writing case with a number of folding boards, covered with green leather and decorated with stamped gold decorations. At the front a medallion is drawn and hand-painted, with a figure of a Jew with crossed legs writing with a quill. The initials of the owner (M.A.) are stamped left side of the medallion. Height: 32 cm., width: 49.5 cm. Good condition.
