Halachic responsa manuscript by Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch author of Tzemach Tzedek. [19th century].
Manuscript includes two lengthy Halachic responses; first printed in Tzemach Tzedek Responsa, Yoreh De’ah, chapter 314. [Form of writing is similar to that of writing of Tzemach Tzedek, however, it is apparently the writing of an early copyist, who copied from the original response]. Second response [in different handwriting], consisting of a lengthy response (26 pages and missing at end) pertains to blood found in milk. This response was not found in the printed book, however in Tzemach Tzedek Responsa Yoreh De’ah chapter 54, a section of a brief response pertaining to this matter was found.
54 written pages. (Page numbering 199-225, section of “Bichel” booklet). Approx. 23 cm. Good-fair condition, stains and foxing. Unoriginal binding.

Manuscript, Chassidic articles by Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson author of Tzemach Tzedek. Sefer HaChakira Derech Emuna, article of "Root of the Mitzvah of Prayer" from the book Derech Mitzvotecha, and other Chassidic articles. Ashkenasi writing [19th century].
Sefer HaChakira, was first printed in Poltova in 1912, by Rabbi Chaim Eliezer Bichovsky, who called the book Derech Emuna. This book deals with proofs for belief in the Creator and renewal of the world, according to Chassidut and philosophy. Rebbe Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch writes in his introduction to the 1955 edition: according to that which Lubavitcher rebbes have told us, Sefer HaChakira was written by the Rebbe the Tzemach Tzedek after his journey to Petersburg in 1843, and is about the religious debates, teachings, kabbalah and Chassidism which took place there. "But in his usual way he added after that, in any case, this writing was necessary and a temporary response to questions that came from a special circle of people and according to his outlook and opinions".
This manuscript is different than the printed edition, both in numbers and order of chapters, [for example, Vol. 2 of the manuscript is Volume 3 in printed form and Volume 3 of the manuscript is Volume 2 in the printed edition] and many other variations.
At the end of this pamphlet ("bichel"), is the article Sha'ar HaTefilla – B'Shoresh MItzvat HaTefillah which is also printed in the book Derech Mitzvotecha by the author of Tzemach Tzedek and the articles: Shuva Yisrael, B'Succot Teshvu and U'Lekachtem Lachem and other Chassidic articles.

This stamp was made to approve a book printed in the underground printing press in Kopys during the time of the decree on books and the censor – See enclosed material [Y. In the center of the title page is a nice dedication handwritten and signed by the author, Rabbi Avraham David Lavut (1815-1890), disciple of the "Tzemach Tzedek" and among the most prominent" Chabad" rabbis and Hassidim. Served in the rabbinate of Nikolayev in the Cherson region for forty years. Author of the books "Sha'ar HaKolel" on the composition of "Admor HaZaken", "Kav VeNaki "and "Beit Aharon Vehosafot". His granddaughter is Rabbanit Chana Schneerson mother of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. He edited the books of his esteemed grandfather and published them, and wrote his biography in the introduction.

Rabbi Yehoshua Nathan Genesin (1840-1921), a leading Lubavitch rabbi, headed the yeshiva in Starodub and from 1883 served as rabbi of Kritchev. Later moved to serve in the rabbinate of the Chassidic community of Potchep where he founded an important yeshiva. Most of the rabbis who taught in the "Tomchei Temimim" Yeshiva founded by the Rashab (Rabbi Shalom Dov Ber) were his disciples and he ordinated many Lubavitch rabbis for the rabbinate.
