Mishnayot, with the commentary of Rabbi Ovadia of Bartenura, Tosfot Yom Tov and other additions, and with Tosfot Rabbi Akiva Eiger. Zera'im-Taharot [six Sedarim in six volumes]. Altona, 1830-1853.
First edition in which Rabbi Akiva Eiger's entire work on the Mishna is printed, by his son Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Eiger.
At the end of Seder Zera'im is Sefer Shenot Eliyahu by the Gra, Seder Zera'im [separate title page].
Altona, 1842.
6 volumes, bound with cover title pages printed on colored paper. Zera'im: [3], 133; 4; [2], 38, [2] leaves. Moed: [4], 172 leaves. Nashim: [3] 159 leaves. Nezikin: [1], 196 leaves. Kodshim: 163, [1] leaves. Taharot: [2], 266 leaves. 26 cm. Overall good condition, stains and slight wear, several detached or loose leaves. Damages to bindings.
The date of Sedarim Zera'im, Mo'ed and Nashim is 1841, Seder Nezikin, 1845, Seder Taharot, 1853 and Seder Kodshim, 1830. No other copy of Seder Kodshim with this date is known. In the Bibliography Institute CD only Nezikin is listed dated in the year 1930. This volume is listed separately from the 1841-1853 edition [Listings 0328878, 0150714]. However, the content of the title page, the frame, the type of letters and style of printing are completely the same in all volumes. For this reason and from the examination of these volumes, we presume that they all belong to the same edition printed in 1841-1853, and for some reason the date was changed to 1830 in some copies [as also assumed in the Bibliography Institute CD].
