"Chatzot" (midnight), bronze plate. Boris Schatz, Jerusalem.
Engraved on the top of the plate is the word "Chatzot" (midnight). In the center is the form of a man praying with a book and candle. Engraved on the bottom is the verse "Zion spread its arms, no one comforts it" (Eichah, 1, 17).
Placed in its original matching box, velvet lining. Impressed on the lid is the emblem of "Prof. Boris Schatz". A "Bezalel" paper lable is attached to the bottom of the box.
7X7 cm. In a box approximately 8X9 cm. damages to box.

In the center is a man writing a scroll. "Jeremiah" is engraved on the bottom and in tiny letters "Who will let that my head shall be water and my eyes a source of tears and I shall cry day and night over the dead of my people" (Jeremiah, 8, 23).
Placed in its original matching box, silk lining (the velvet lining is missing), with the personal emblem of "Prof. Boris Schatz". A "Bezalel" paper lable is attached to the bottom of the box.

Scenes from the Passover Haggada (three plates); Rivka carrying a pitcher on her head; Rivka offering water to Avraham's servant ; praying at the Western Wall; The Tomb of Rachel. Attached are eight photographs of copper plates made by Raban.
Varied size, fair-good condition.
Provenance: Debel Gallery, Jerusalem. At the beginning of the 1980s, Debel Gallery curated two exhibitions with paintings and drafts made by Ze'ev Raban (between 1915-1940). It was the first comprehensive retrospective exhibition of Raban's work since the establishment of the state of Israel.

Etched on the front cover are the words "Torah Nevi'im V'Ketuvim" and adecoration in the shape of pomegranate tree branches. The bottom is decorated with a Torah crown and Tablets of Law held in the paws of a pair of lions. Etched on the spine are the acronym "Tanach" and various decorations: grape vines, shofars and architectural pillars. Etched on the back cover are the insignias of the 12 tribes, closely etched Stars of David and a medal inscribed "Bezalel Jerusalem".

Silver (stamped: Israel 925), filigree and etching; engraving; embedded gems and medal. The clasp is stamped "Jerusalem Israel"; gilt leaf cutting.
Etched into the front cover is the word "Tanach" and ornamentations in the shape of grape clusters and a pomegranate tree. In the center is a "window" with filigree work, an embedded green gem and a medal with an embossment of Moshe Rabbeinu holding the Tablets of Law. Etched into the spine are the inscription "Torah Nevi'im Ketuvim" and various ornamentations: grape vines, a menorah and memory lamps and architectural and geometric patterns. Etched on the back cover are symbols of the 12 tribes. A dedication is etched in the bottom center "To our friend Fritz Kortner, from Habima, 12.5.58". The actor Fritz Kortner (1892-1970), born in Vienna as Fritz Nathan Kohn, was a famous cinema actor and theater director. With the rise of the Nazi rule in 1933, he immigrated to the U.S. In 1949, he returned to Germany and died in Munich. Height: 17 cm, width: 11 cm, thickness: 5.5 cm. Good condition.

Silver (silver stamps and stamp of Bezalel Jerusalem), filigree, embedded with gems. Dedication written on menorah base: "A gift of appreciation to express honor, glory and splendor to Mr. Shmuel Pesman, 18th of Tevet 1958 by The Torah Institute for Yeshivot in Israel".
The Chanukah lamp was given to Mr. Shmuel Pesman, the General Chairman of the Joint at a party in his honor with the participation of rabbis and Heads of Yeshivot. Among them were Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin, Rabbi Yechezkel Avramsky, Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel and others. See attached material and photograph of the honorary platform with this lamp.

Attached to the back panel is a pair of lions, a menorah and plates with the inscription "Hanerot hallalu kodesh hem" (these lights are holy) and "Yerushalem". A plate etched with the name "Bezalel" is missing. Detached "shamash". Has no legs. Corrosion and damages.
