Passover Seder dish. [USA?, 20th century].
Glued wooden sheets, sawn.
Inscribed at top of dish: "Seven days you shall eat Matzot and the Seventh Day is a festival to G-d", adornments, crown-shaped. Indentations for placing the Seder symbols, with inscriptions: "Zero'a" (Shankbone), "Beitzah" (Egg), "Maror" (Bitter Herbs), "Charoset", "Karpas", "Chazeret".
On reverse side of the plate is a sawn dedication: "Gift to my cousin Ya'akov Davis from Shlomo Teitelbaum", and a Star of David. A bluish fabric was glued between the wooden sheets as background for the letters.
Diameter: 26 cm.

Carved wood.
Folk art carving, with the words "P'dut Nafsheinu" and "Pesach" embossed. Other various adornments embossed: four cups, Pesach Seder dish and shofar, above which the words "Z'man Cheruteinu" (Time of Our Redemption) are carved. On right margin are the words "difficult, hard labor, bitter herbs" and other words. Possibly made in one of the internment camps for underground fighters during the British Mandate.
