[Padova, 1854]. A small illustration appears on the reverse: an angel with a bow and an arrows' pouch, riding an oceanic creature. [1] leaf 45.5X30 cm. Good condition. Poem consisting of 22 verses. Originally the poem was printed in Padua in the same year, translated into several languages (Hebrew, Italian, German and Syrian). Presented here is a different version, in Hebrew and Syrian only. This edition is bibliographically unknown. [4] leaves (folded leaf), 30 cm. Good condition. Stains, folding-marks and stains, minor tears.

Synagogue "Kehilat Bnei Berith (Synagogue on Wilshire Blvd), the oldest synagogue in Los Angeles, California, serving one of the best known reform congregations in the USA. The synagogue was established by the name "Kehilat Bnei Berith" in 1862, in 1929 the synagogue moved to its present location on Wilshire Blvd. 43.5X35.5 cm. Good condition. Folded. Staining. Contained in the original postal envelope with groom's address.

Seven issues of the periodical in the Interest of Hebrew Study which was first published in March 1884. After the publication of the first three issues it was decided to cease the publication of the journal as a monthly periodical and publish it as a quarterly journal. At a later stage the sub-title of the periodical was altered.
First year: issues 1-3, 1884; second year: issues 3-4; third year: issues
1-4. Total of 7 issues. Condition varies. The booklets are contained in a fine cardboard box.

Ephraim Dienard (1846-1930) a bibliographer and Hebrew author, collector of books and book seller; a leading bibliographer in the new era. Historian and polemicist; his writings were subject to much criticism. Deinard was considered a provocative author, writing with no inhibitions about controversial subjects. His early literary work concerned the history of Jews in inner Russia, the Jews of Crimea and the Karaite Jews. Emmigrated from Russia to the US in the 1890s where he published his books about Hasidut and Zionism. Presented here are ten of his books, in six volumes:

This small political booklet contains a survey of the actions taken by the British Liberal Party towards granting equal rights to Jews in Britain in all aspects of life. The text concludes with the message that Jewish emancipation in Britain was achieved only through the efforts on the part of the Liberal Party, which had strived to reach this goal for one hundred years. 24 pp, 13.5 cm. Good condition. Minor tears and creases. Extremely rare. No other copies known and none listed on OCLC. Not in the collection of the JNUL.
