A citation from the poet's writings appears under the portrait and refers to her split Russian-Jewish identity. Elisheva (1888-1949 – pen name of Elizaveta Zhirkova-Bichovsky) was born in Russia to a Provoslav Christian family and made aliya to Eretz Israel in 1925. Missing corner. Several stains.

1. "Juedische Presse" – Jewish Journalism. A card with a "window" that opens like a book within which 11 tiny reproductions are folded in the shape of a fan. The reproductions are of title pages of Jewish papers in Eastern Europe of the early 20th cen. Good condition, minor tears and damages. Writing in Russian.
2. A postcard printed in Austria, with a cut-out figure in color and a New Year greeting in Hebrew and German. Sent to Perm (Пермь), Russia, in 1910. Good condition. The figure is detached.

Renton is the author of the book "The lost synagogues of London" (London, 2000).
