Printed leaf – “Will and picture of the great and holy rabbi… Rabbi Elazar Lev Av Beit Din of Ohel and Ungvar…”. Vietzen, [c. 1919]. His portrait is printed in center with version of his will printed on sides.
The Ga’on Rabbi Elazar Lev (1839-1918) author of Pekudat Elazar, son of Rabbi Yirmiyahu Lev Av Beit Din of Ohel, author of Divrei Yirmiyahu. Among leading Orthodox rabbis of Northern Hungary. Served in the rabbinate of Ohel from 1874. In 1788 was appointed to the rabbinate of Ungvar.
Printed leaf, framed. 46 cm. Good condition, stains and folding marks [not examined outside of frame].

The Ga’on Rabbi Ya’akov Koppel Reich (1838-1929, Otzar HaRabbanim 10321), disciple of the Ktav Sofer, among the greatest rabbis of Hungary and among the leaders of Orthodox Jewry. Began serving in the rabbinate in 1859. From 1890 was Av Beit Din of Budapest. Also served as representative in the Senate of the Austro-Hungarian kingdom and as adviser to King Franz Joseph.
Printed picture, 35 cm. Good-fair condition, mildew stains.

Photographs depict: Uncle of bride Rabbi Zvi Yehudah Meltzer, brother of bride Rabbi Shneur Kotler, Rabbi Yishayahu Goldschmidt, Rabbi David Finkel, Rabbi Yitzchak Kulitz, Rabbi Yitzchak Greenberg, Rabbi Avraham Solomon, and additional prominent students of the Yeshiva who later became famous as Torah giants.
The Ga’on Rabbi Dov (Berel) Schwartzman (1922-2011), among geniuses of the recent generation. Already from youth was known as a diligent genius and prodigy; established Philadelphia Yeshiva and founded and headed Beit HaTalmud Yeshiva in Jerusalem.
