Ownership notations. Stamps of Rabbi “Chaim Aryeh Leib Rotenberg, rabbi of Stawiski” – Rabbi Chaim Aryeh Rotenberg-Mishkovsky, known as “Rabbi Leib Stavisker” (1836-1898), among the greatest and most righteous well known rabbis of Lithuania; studied Kibbutz HaPerushim in Eishyshok, was closely associated with the Chafetz Chaim, who studied with him on an individual basis and even proposed that he write a composition such as the "Mishnah Berurah" prior to him writing it himself. Rabbi in Orlova, Szalodak and Stawiski. Father of the Ga’on Rabbi Chizkiyahu Yosef Mishkovski Av Beit Din of Krynica. Some of his Torah was printed in the book "Pnei HaAryeh HaChai" – See attached material. One gloss [in his handwriting?].

The title pages of the three books are signed "Zecharya Mendel HaKohen(Weisbrod), Rabbi of Alita". Descendant of Rabbi Refael Katz Rabbi of Hamburg. Renowned all over the world from the time he served as Rabbi of Radin, until his death in 1897. Most of his sons and sons-in-law served in the raritebbinate.One of his grandsons: Rabbi David HaCohen "The Nazir Rabbi".

Sefer Sha’arei Yosher, inquiries on various Jewish laws, by the Ga’on Rabbi Shimon Yehudah Shkop. Warsaw, 1928. First publication of one of the most basic books of erudition and reasoning in the Yeshiva world.
Ownership notations of the Ga’on Rabbi Zvi Yehudah Alswang, brother-in-law of author (who mentions him in introduction of book). Served for many years in the Chicago Rabbinate (USA), and toward his old age immigrated to Israel to study in the Slobodka Yeshiva in Bnei Brak (passed away on Rosh HaShana 1961).
2 sections in one volume: [2], 4, [1], 4-342, [2] pages; 112, 114-306, [2] pages, 31 cm. Good condition, stains, tears on margins of some leaves. New binding.

Signatures in his handwriting "Yoav Yehoshua Weingarten of Radum".
Rabbi Yoav Yehoshua Weingarten Rabbi of Kintzk (1847-1922), a renowned leading Torah genius in Poland. Friend and great disciple of the author of "Avnei Nezer" of Sochatchev. Various signatures and stamps from Jerusalem [“Chaim Avraham Tzvi Sepharadi”, “Shlomo Zalman son of Rabbi Parush-Glickman”, “Yitzchak Rosenthal”]. All volumes contain stamps of the Ga’on Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach. Volume of Tractate Yoma contains notation in his handwriting and signature: “I, the undersigned, purchased this Shas for full price…”. This volume contains [penciled] signature of his son the Ga’on Rabbi “Shlomo Zalman Auerbach” [apparently from his childhood].
