Group photograph by Zadok Bassan (1882-1956), "Bezalel" students and teachers in the temporary building on Ethiopia Street, [1907 or 1908].
Prof. Boris Schatz appears in the center. "Bezalel" started its activity in the temporary site on Ethiopia Street between January and May 1906. In May 1908 the school was moved to its new venue on Shmuel HaNagid Street. The students are most probably of one of the first years (first, second or third year of Bezalel). Photographer's ink-stamp on the cardboard. 18X24.5 cm. Good condition. Stains and minor damages. Mounted on cardboard 23X28.5 cm. Stains and pin-holes, tears and creases at borders of cardboard.

The project failed and the place was closed down after four years. Annotated by hand on the reverse "Bezalel Houses, Lod". 14X8.5 cm. Good condition. The reverse divided for use as a postcard.
