The title page and book sheets have signatures Yisrael Dov Odesser - in the handwriting of the "Saba" Rabbi Yisrael Dov (Ber) Odesser (1886-1996), a native of Safed from a family of Karlin Chassidim. In his youth, he became close to Breslov Chassidism and was the disciple of Rabbi Yisrael Kardoner and other elder rabbis belonging to Breslov Chassidism. At the end of his life, he became known for the mysterious note with the sentence "N Nach Nachma Nachman from Uman", and was called by his Chassidim "Ba'al HaPetek".
