Leaflet about a loan given to Prince Joseph von Hunyady by the Rothschild Bank of Frankfurt together with the Arnstein & Eskeles Bank and the Simon G. Sina Banks in Vienna; two leaflets about securities offered to the public by Jewish banks in Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna and Leipzig.
4-11. Eight lithograph prints of handwritten letters. Vienna, 1870s. Jewish bank applications - S. M. von Rothschild, Koenigswarter and other private banks to the Minister of Finance of the Caesar's government, requesting authorization to print high-value shares and government securities, authorized by the Caesar's government and to approve financial guarantees and various loans.
Various sizes, good condition. Minor tears to margins.

Two documents from the collection of Baron Wertheimer Family, Vienna:
1. A document handwritten by two different people, concerning a fund established according to the last will and testament of Mr. Emanuel Wertheimer, who passed away in Vienna in April 1822. The document deals with funds due to relatives in need, according to various paragraphs in the will. Signed by the "Government Counselor" Andreas Eugon Fichler, October 1825. [6] pp, 34 cm. Good condition. Folding-marks, minor tears, stains.
2. Letter dated August 22, 1898, addressed to Mr. Ludwig A. Wertheimer in Vienna, from a notary in Fֳ¼rth. The letter refers to the last will and testament of Mrs. Louise Tabor, who was Wertheimer's mother and passed away in Fֳ¼rth a year earlier. It seems that Louise was married a second time, to Mr. Moritz Tabor. [3] pp, 33 cm. Good condition. Stains, several tears.

A suggestion is raised in this letter to organize a fundraising campaign in synagogues during Tisha BeAv for the poor in Eretz Israel, for maintaining tomb-stones and in particular the graves of Zecharya and Avshalom on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Signed (in print) Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer (Dr. Israel Hildesheimer). [2] pp, 28 cm. Good condition. Creases and several stains.

Describes in detail the events in the assembly, the second session of which dealt with the status of Jews: the member reports that the Jews suffer from humiliation and the strictness of laws for anti-Semitic reasons, and that they are discriminated against religiously, constitutionally and in other aspects. The writer is opposed to these phenomena. [9] pp, handwritten, 32.5 cm. Fair condition. Heavy, quality paper; a large, dark stain on all the leaves blurs the text. Tears at upper borders.

The periodical was published during the years 1854-1870, edited by the poet and writer Meir (Max) Letteris, of the Haskalah Movement in Galicia and Austria. Most of his life he suffered from financial difficulties and undertook translation work, editing and proofreading of essays, writing encyclopedic articles, translating into German religious books (Machzorim, Siddurim etc.), and other duties (he worked in Anton Schmidt's printing press in Vienna). Studied in universities in Lvov, Prague and Vienna and gained a PhD degree. The periodical presented here, was one of his most successful achievements. [4] pp in each issue (continuous pagination), 28.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains, folding-marks, minor tears and creases.
