Site of "Kingsג€™ Graves" - burial plot from period of Second Temple, on Tzalach A-Din St. in Eastern Jerusalem, north of Nablus Gate and the Old City. The burial plot was purchased in 1878 by the French-Jewish Pereire family following archeological excavations in the site by various authorities. After the demise of the patriarch of the family in 1885, the burial plot was handed over to the French government, in whose possession it is until today.
This is a hand-illustrated map prepared in accordance with the request of the Pereire family in 1879, after the burial plot was transferred to the family as well as a draft for a placard, which apparently was intended to be hung outside the plot, which states that the burial plot now belongs to the French government instead of to the Pereire family.

61.5x49.5 cm. Good condition. Illustrated upon thick paper. Folding marks. Stains on margins. Restored damages on vertical folding crease.
