Martin Buber, handwritten glosses on a printing-draft of part II of the book "Teuda VeYeud", in which speeches delivered by Buber and "Essays about Current Matters" have been compiled. The book was first published by "HaSifriya HaZionit" of the Zionist Organization in 1961.
358 leaves with many comments and corrections handwritten by Buber, including corrections of punctuation and diacritical signs, pagination and textual corrections, additions, comments and instruction for the printing press. This copy is incomplete: the final version consists of 424 pages while the copy presented here consists of 358 leaves printed on one side. 358 leaves, 25 cm. Good condition. Numerous creases at borders of leaves.

Yochanan Tversky - Writings. New York, 1920s-30s.
Volume containing a printed essay and a story, with corrections, comments and numerous additions handwritten by Tversky (1900-1967) - author and translator, native of Poland. In 1926 Tversky immigrated to the U.S.A. and was appointed as a lecturer in "Tarbut" seminary for teachers. Studied in Harvard and was appointed as professor for Jewish History. Made aliya to Eretz Israel in 1948. Wrote mainly historic novels and biographical stories. The volume includes: notes by Tversky about the Swiss educator and critic Johan Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827) that appeared in the bi-monthly journal "Shviley HaChinuch", New York, 1928; "Herzl - a Story" from "Yearbook of American Jews" for 1939, New York, 1939 (almost with no comments, most of the comments were written about Pestalozzi). More than 100 pages, 23 cm. Original cover with embossed inscription, from the 1930s. Good condition.

As a Palmach fighter was one of the conquerors of Um Rashrash (Eilat) and one of the "Ink Flag" lifters. Adan was the commander of Division 162 on the Sinai front. Presented here is a printed copy of the book, with the author's dedication to Meir Hovav who edited and produced the book. 336 printed leaves, with numerous handwritten corrections, 33 cm. The manuscript presented here includes corrections, comments and glosses. Bader (1901-1994) was born in Krakow, studied in a state gymnasium in the city and later in the Krakow University. Bader earned a Doctorate in Law and was certified as a lawyer. In 1925 joined the Hatzohar movement. Made aliya to Eretz Israel in 1943 and joined the Etzel. One of "Herut Movement" founders, and a Knesset member on its behalf from the first to the eighth Knesset. Bader was well known for his rhetoric talent. 412 handwritten leaves, 30 cm. Good condition. Nathanson (1888-1963, born in Jerusalem), was an economist and a public figure, a veteran of the city of Haifa. He worked as a clerk in the Anglo-Palestine Bank (later Bank Leumi) in Jerusalem. After World War I, settled in Haifa and was active in developing the industry and trade in the city. From 1928, served as manager of the Anglo-Palestine Bank in Haifa and president of the Trade and Industry Department there. Endeavored to recruit Jewish employees in the Bank's various departments. Was chairman of fundraising for recruiting and rescue in Haifa, chairman of the national loan and chairman of Keren HaYesod. Served as deputy chairman of the Reali School in Haifa and Swedish Consul of Haifa and North Israel for 25 years. Merited an Honorary Title of the city. (Taken from the Haifa Municipality website).
The collection contains: An invitation to the opening celebration of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem attended by Lord Balfour (7th of Nissan 1925), documents on behalf of the Jewish agency, the General Zionist Union, the Hebrew Congregation Committee, the Union of Religious Authors in Eretz Israel, the Central Committee of Hebrew Authors and Literature Union, the Committee for Emergency Tax for the Settlement in Haifa, Hebrew Reali School, banks etc. Many varied documents connected to the Swedish Consulate in Haifa that testify to its varied activities.
