Children's story, about Itche-ber, who has two professions: a shoemaker and a beggar. Manuscript with colorful illustrations. Ink, colored pencil and aquarelle on paper. This story, most probably, has never been published. On the title page, under the book's title, appears a dedication to Tsanin's son, Itzchak.
Mordechai Yeshaya Tsanin (1906-2009) - founder of Yiddish journalism in Israel, linguist and Yiddish writer, cultural leader of Yiddish in Israel; author of the Yiddish-Hebrew-Yiddish dictionary, founder and editor of the newspaper "Letste Nayes" - one of the most popular newspapers in Israel. Tsanin was born in Poland. Served in the Polish Army during World War II. Arrived in Eretz Israel in 1942 and lived in Tel Aviv until his last day. [18] leaves (six with illustrations only) bound as a notebook 19x15.5 cm. Good condition. Foxing-marks.

Collection of personal documents and sketches of games, belonging to Benjamin Barlevy (1894-1964), who pioneered the game and children's book publishing industries in Mandate Eretz Israel. Born in Warsaw, Barlevy immigrated to Israel at the age of 27 and dedicated 50 years of his life to developing and manufacturing games and publishing children's books, designed to instill national ideals and values in Jewish and Israeli children. The collection includes fifteen photographs (one of them features the showcase of Barlevy's shop); business cards and personal labels; four preliminary sketches of Barlevy games, drawn by hand; additions and corrections (possibly handwritten by Ze'ev Vilnay) to the board game "Tiyul BaAretz", the first game Barlevy published; a letter from Israel Idelssohn (Bar Yehuda) from Yagur, complaining that Yagur does not appear on the game board of Tiyul BaAretz; three 1930s invoices from Barlevy's store on Allenby Street in Tel Aviv. Various sizes and conditions.
